need help with media player!

I have had lots of trouble with windows media player. Every time I go to log on to the internet an error message pops up saying that one or more files are missing by media player to play back sounds. To enable please reinstall. So, I have reinstalled and it won't go through. I think that a file was accidentally deleted, how can I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Beat Vocals seperator

I am looking for a program that I can use to superimpose the vocals from one track to the beats from another. This should be able to separate vocals from beats first.

What's with RBF Software?

RBF has been making the statement "MED Soundstudio v2 will be released next year" every year since '98.

Does anyone know why RBF relies soley on ONE person to do all of the programming? It just seems rediculous.

MED V2 would be such a great program, but 5 years of broken promises has made it so difficult to retain any sense of hope.

Since Ray and Andy of RBF only seem to make detailed announcements about 2-3 times a year, there's no way to tell what is going on with them at this time.

Does anyone know?

Changing a songs pitch

Does anyone know where I can download some software that will change the pitch of a song after I have removed the vocals? I am trying to create some tracks for songs that are in a more comfortable singig key.

MP3to CD-R

I haave a CD I burned music on to. I did it cuz I could get so many on one CD. Now I want to convert the music so I can play it on my CD player in the car. It won't play the MP3. I understand I need to convert to CD-R. Is that true? IF not, what do I need to do? Thanks in advance for your help.

You'll need to convert the MP3s to WAV and then burn them to a CD-R. You will need an MP3 to WAV converter and a CD Burning program such as Nero.

It is not a perfect process... there is most always echo left over.

Just so you know: it is impossible to remove ANY sound layer from the mix. This is why studios keep all the master discs etc., which contain all the separate sound elements. That way they can remix and remaster them any time they like.

If you want to 'remove' elements from a sound or piece of music, the best you can do is trick the listener, so they don't realise they're hearing certain things. This is done by careful use of good sound forge plug-ins, careful eq'ing and by putting other sounds over the top to mask the join.

I won't be writing a tutorial any time soon, but for now... what you want to do is all but impossible.

there's this song i really like but havent heard in ages and i heard it recently while shopping but didnt find out what it was. I can only remember a few words of one of the verses but it goes 'come on and close your eyes, take a look inside, you're in your own world' the tune is quite like the beginning of madonna's frozen, and its sort of haunting. I really like the song, and this is really annoying me! can someone plz help me?

There is a song that I need to know the name of...and it has a hip hop reggae type of beat and the chorus goes "I've seen nothing before, till I seen you dance like this..."...I am really annoyed. Yes.... it was Freddie Huges that sung the song Send My Baby Back.

thanks to kyle for the reply but its not 'silent lucidity' by queensryche, but if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. It sounds REALLY similar to madonnas 'frozen', but the similarity is in the backing music and the haunting way she sings it. the theme of the song is something about being in 'your own world' thanks again to kyle.

i-tunes and minidiscs

does anyone know how to record from i-tunes onto mini disc? i have a sony minidisk player whcih came with some software for putting music on windows computers onto mini disc but not from mac computers. i am a hopeless techno-phobe and need some help - please :)
