What can I use to play or convery old Play J (.plj) songs. I have music from one of my favorite artists only released on there and i cant find a way to play it back! Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I don't think you'll have any luck. PlayJ no longer exists and if you were to find a way to convert those files you might be breaking the DMCA law.

I have a song in my head, that I made today. But I dont have any instruments playing in on, so I thought I could search for some shareware on the web. But I cant find anything, every program I find need some external instrumts first, forex. a keyboard etc.

I hope someone can help me, I just need something that I can play it on and record it on the pc. Hope that is possible, because I afraid forgetting the song........in my head:))

i've ditched my pc. but when i wanted easy/quick music out of my head. i used Fruity Loops. you can do anything . its like a hardcore version of fisherprice.

Roland G1000 / Cubase 5.1

Can anyone tell me what settings I have to change in the Roland G1000 Workstation so that I can use it with Cubase 5.1 (on a G4 Mac)? When I try to play the keyboard and record on a channel in Cubase, all that happens is that the keyboard seems to 'freeze' with lots of hanging notes. I am fairly sure the problem concerns settings in the Roland and not with Cubase.

Have some body else experience the same problem.

I've been trying to find the codec required for this which is called 674f according to microsoft player9. No results as of yet.

Here is what you need to do!!! The files that will not play are in fact .ogg files. You need to go find the ogg codec (you should be able to download it from any number of locations). Once this codec has been installed these audio files will play in the windoze media player as well as in frooty loopz. We had the same problem and now it works just fine!

I have the same problem. The thing is the files use to work perfect until i reisnstalled windows recently now they wont load. HELP

suposedly the files are wav but when opened nothing works right

If this thread is still active, here's a roundabout solution.

1. Download the demo version of FL Studio 1.5 from the fl site.

2. Uninstall your 1.05 version.

3. Reboot and install the demo.

4. From the Studio program folder, open the data folder, and copy the 'samples' folder to a temporary store on your HD.

5. Uninstall the demo

6. Reinstall v1.05

7. Replace (overwrite) the samples folder with the one you saved from the demo installation.

8. Reboot

All the samples (with the exception of some hits)will now work fine.

Hey i have the same problem too. All i have to say is that they charge $150 for FL Studio and none of the samples work and the stupid FL Studio web sight wont let me see the technical support page. Any one who can please tell me how to fix the samples

The file that you need is an ogg vorbis ACM codec ... try to search a bit more to find it.If you are not able to download the version that you need send me an e-mail to save you :)) it is just about 130k !!!

get a codec named "Ace mega codec" or something like that. its around 50mb and it makes samples on fruity work for some reason. dont ask.

Ditto. The troubleshooting guide recommends checking System Information to make sure all codecs are enabled, which I did, and still the majority of the wav samples won't load. Sucks.

I think the samples are all the same ones that are in fruityloops 3.5. If you have that version, just copy all the sample folders into the FL studio => data=> patches folder. It worked for me!

I have exactly the same problem. The Wav files jut won't play even outside of FL studio, they seem to be corrupt. I tried installing new audio codecs, all the latest ones from MS Media Player 8, but that did not help. Anyone who has a solutions let me know, because it is stupid that we can't use the demo samples.

My guess is that the version of FL Studio that you have came from ARCTIC, and it appears that arctic just threw in garbage audio into all the wavs so you aren't actually able to download the complete FL Studio from warez sites.

Right click on "vorbisacm.inf" file and press Install.
This should solve the problem.

If the above doesn't work, download the Dumpbed wav files from the download section from the fl studio website and copy the wav files in to the fl studio's appropriate program folder.

using the OGG codecs works...

apparently some of the loops are encoded as Ogg files..and hence they wont play...

i've got them working now, but....

but whenever i minimise FLstudio, an error comes up saying "DIB cannot be made" this error keeps coming up over and over, though i can press "OK" and FL still runs.

Roland data converter

Hey. I have a bunch of songs recorded on a Roland VS-1680 digital studio that I burned data cds for. I have yet to find a way for the data to be read by my computer and would like to import it into pro tools or sonar to edit the tracks and mix them. If anyone knows of a way to convert the data into wav files or anything, please let me know. Thanks!
