optimus 33-3018 microphone

i am having a very difficult time getting my optimus 33-3018 microphone to work on my computer. i've tried to locate drivers and have failed. please, i am a vocalist who finds her only serenity in her music. i am in a rut until i can get this microphone to work on my computer, so that i may continue with the production of my sounds. any help at all is very much appreciated. thanks!

you need a mic pre, and addapters to convert it to the "stereo-mini" plug on your sound card. Talk to the boys at Radio Shack where you got the mic. I'm sure they will point you to the right parts.

Optimus 33-8395

Im having the exact same trouble! Whats a mic pre? isnt there drivers that we can download off the net?

MS Internet Explorer screen's on menu tools, in audiio tuning wizard, there is message "no sound detected"

Continuing from my last message... Here are two links you may want to try which explain what's involved in adapting a pro-style microphone (XLR or 1/4" plug)to a computer sound card's mic inputs.

Keep in mind that on many (particularly the cheap ones) sound cards the mic inputs aren't exactly high-fidelity and most often of a telephone grade of sound quality. That's why I mentioned in my earlier posting the possible solution of using an external microphone / DJ mixer and using the (usually cleaner sounding) sound card's audio input instead.
