Triton Korg Wavs

controlling my P.C. with my keyboard VIA MIDI

ok, here is the question:
I have a few sounds (back-up vocals, guitar, and keyboard fills) that i previously recorded onto my PC hard drive as .wav files. I am ready to do shows / gigs, as soon as i learn how to use the midi in, and outs on my keyboard to contrroll my computer to play these .wav files on command....durring performance as back-up tracks.
what will i need in hardware and software, and how to configure?????

Sounds like you could do with a sampler or sample playback machine. You can get software samplers like the Halion or the excellent EXS24 (which also comes as a player).

You could then set up the samples on each key of a keyboard. You can set a sampler to play a whole sample with one press and release of a key.

I forgot to mention, I have a keyboard with midi in, and out, I was planning to use Cakewalk 9 and my playback software if possanle, but i will buy diffrent software if need be...hadware too.

psr 620 songs

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A YAMAHA PSR 620.THE KEYBOARD WORKS GREAT.I THEN PURCHASED A CD FROM EBAY CONTAINING PSR SONGS AND STYLES IN '0'FORMAT FOR LOADING TO MOST PSR SERIES KEYBOARDS.THE STYLES LOAD UP OK,HOWEVER THE SONGS(WHICH CAN BE LISTENED TO ON THE PC), WONT COMPLETE LOADING ON THE PSR.THEY SEEM TO LOAD SOME DATA LIKE SONG TITLES,BUT AS THE 'EXECUTION BUTTON' DOES NOT LIGHT UP, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FINALISE THE LOADING. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

use the function button on the left hand side of the lcd screen to play your songs, but make sure that you move it down to song.

1.insert the disk with the psr songs on it
2 select 'song'option from the function menu
3. then turn the dial until the name of the song appears.
4. then just press play

this is the quick play feature, you dont load midi files via the 'execute' button

Gigasampler 1.6 midiloop doesn't work

Hi There!

After building my computer in a new case, I had to reinstall my soundcard. Since then the midiloop in gigsampler doesn't work anymore. It displays an error that says that "An external device or application is using the audio hardware". I have a full duplex soundblaster card, and also run Cubase VST. I tried reinstalling Gigasampler first and Cubase after that and vice versa, but it doesn't work. Has anybody got an idea? I'm having serious deadlines!!

creating WAV files from Korg PXR4 MP2s

When I convert MP2 files I've recorded on the KORG PXR4 to WAV files on my computer, the resulting files have static and a tinny sound. The quality of the files is great as MP2 files; it is in the conversion (I use Winamp to convert) that the noise appears. Is there a way to avoid this?

Just letting you know that I get the same tinny, hissy sound you reported when converting MP2 files recorded on the KORG PXR4 to WAV files (using Acoustica MP3 to wave converter). I too cannot find a way to match the sound quality of the original MP2. I wonder if you have made any progress here?

You might need a sound driver for your soundcard. Find out what the manufacturer of the card is and go to their website for more information.

changing words of a song

I am trying to replace a word in a song with another word. The replacement word is someones name and I need to create it myself using the singers voice so I have to cut different parts of words to make it. I am having trouble doing this. Can someone help me out? Thanks
