Audigy Help

Hi,

I'm reinstalling my audigy card and cannot find the original CD. All the drivers/software I can find on the net are updates only -- HELP! Any audigy owners out there willing to help?

Thanks for your help, mate. It is appreciated. This certainly at least has the card working again :) EAX and a few other things are not available though. I'm still looking for original drivers to regain full functionality - thank you for this interim solution.

recording problem SOLOING audio tracks in PT

Hello all, I am hoping I can get some insight in solving a problem I am having with my music set up here. It is a recording problem. Basically I have Powertracks version 8 and I am able to record okay with certain settings, which I will describe soon, BUT when I select the SOLO button for an audio track I hear all the other tracks in there also.
I can SOLO any of those MIDI tracks and that works fine.
I believe that I have some setting or connection hooked up or set incorrectly.
I can record in Band In a Box but that has no solo feature and I do not use that for my vocals and harmonies anyway. Also I can record in Cakewalk.

I have a windows 98se Dell PC with a 60 GIG hard drive and am using Sound blaster live 16 for my soundcard.
I also have a Eurorack MX602A, which is set up to function as described below.
Also have a pair of Truth B2031 Monitors but they also are not currently connected.
I decided to get it down to the most basic set up and build upJ
BUT, now I am lost and so confused. Here is what works with my MX602A set up.

My Mx602A is set with the main out L/R going as LINE-IN on the PC.
The MIC and HEADPHONES are plugged in the MX602A also.
The LINE 5/6 is going out of the MX602A into the PC as MIC IN.

The PLAY control settings are set to LINE-IN
RECORD control settings are set to LINE-IN.
The creative launcher surround MIXER (not sure is this has any part in this or not!) Has settings of LINE-IN checked, category and environmental set to default.

So, I can record and play back and SOLO the MIDI tracks in PT with these settings using the MX602A but not SOLO any audio. When I tried to make a SEQ. file, obviously the audio tracks had other recorded tracks mixed in.
Both VU meters go on in playback. The PLAY control meter also goes while playing back.

ANY help or insight into this is very much appreciated and thanked for in advance.

try thumping your head with a baseball bat. may i suggest learning an instrument and making real music(look up the definition in a dictionary if you have one)

what are you doing in this forum. I think that if it was'nt for music tech you would'nt have anymore liberace to listen to because 8tracks went out of style in nineteen eighty what? who would have bought that crap at the salvation army and re-mastered it. why don't you take this mentality to whatever seventies rock forum you frequent. If it was'nt for music tech (Like your post on a music tech website) how would this whole forum know that you are lame and should try thumping your skin flute elsewhere.

guitar - PC configuration

I can record LPs to the PC.

Stats:

Dual Turntable to JVC ministereo.
JVC to PC through Tape(Rec)using Y-cable
Connect to PC with Line-In

SB settings: Line-In / Line-In

Record ... Save ... Name ... Open and Play or Record to CD

And now I want to record tunes from a semi-acoustic guitar to my PC.

I'm sure it's a simple 1-2-3 affair; however, ...

I '... thought ...' that all I would have to do would be to plug the guitar into the Line-In on the sound card.

What have I done wrong?

stats:

Musima with a Fishman to
(or via Hughes and Kettner Metroverb Line-Out)
to Sound Blaster Line-In

The best setup:

GigaSampler and Reason hosted by Cubase SX, FruityLoops Works well as VST plugin. For complete finalization use SoundForge and Nero.

Plugins from TC (Reverb, parametrics and grafics equilizes) and Ultramaxmizer and Antares Auto Tune

With this setup you are the limit of process

Yeah, Cubase is best.
I record all my music with Cubase...

I use soundforge6.0 and really like it!!.because it works well with acid 4.0.easy and helpfull... good luck!!

I want to know the title (and artist) who sings the song with lyrics that contain this... "We are ten years old... we are swimming... we can touch the bottom...." Not necessarily exactly like that but that is basically how the song starts.. It is a female singing and I remember it was playing on the radio (in Canada) in late 1996/1997 time peroid.
