I've just bought a new pc and the voice sounds on music cds/film dvds and internet clips are really high pitched. Any solutions

So, it plays DVD video back okay, but the sound is twice the speed?

It might be some weird setting in your soundcard control panel (whatever that may be) to do with the sample playback or record frequency. If you find the settings, see if the soundcard is set to run at 44.1Khz.

i want to become a singer its my dream.i have a brillant voice my mates say so and i think so?? i am 14 years old and wanting and wishing to become a singer?/ if i did i would want to be some thing different???i have hazel eyes and red hair my hair isnt natural dont worry my mate josh says it looks PURPLE,and i love jaffa cakes and m+ms and i like to have a laught??i really do wish i could be somthing different??PLZ make it happen??:)

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I could really do with some help and advice please.

In the late 70's and early 80's i was in a band as a songwriter, creator and singer. At the time I was influenced by the likes of Joy Division, Bauhaus, Numan and others.

I have recently met an old school friend who is now a 'speedrock' DJ based in the UK and he uses his laptop to mix, remix and generally mess around with music and noise.

He uses software called wavelab, fruity loops and reactor but it all seemed very complicated to me!!!!

Last week I won a computer through a local competition and thought "HEY now's my chance" so I would like to know how I could get started.

I want to be able to mix or sample songs and possibly add my own bits of synth in.

I also have a song in my head that I wrote years ago on an acoustic guitar and I would really love to record it and add in a few bits such as drums.

Can anyone help? I am sory to be a pain in the butt but if I make millions I am willing to share!!!!!

magix audio studio 7

i've been recording with magix audio studio 7 and i've been able to hear what i was recording while recording it...now all of a sudden i cant hear what im recording until after i stop recording and play it back....i changed nothing ...it just happened...i've done everything i can think of and checked and double checked everything...can anyone help????

well try checking the playback options,then u will see recording options,and u will see a little box beside"playback while recording" just click the lil box and your set:)

YO, I've been using the same program, I've been recording mix cd's, expotring them and burning them, but every cd I burn comes out as 1 80minute track, how can I record it so that I have seperate tracks when I record.......

Sounds like something got changed accidentally.

I'd check your Multi IO Monitor setting - click Playback on the Menu bar - it's at the bottom and should have a check by it.

Just above it on the Playback menu is Record Options. Click there and open the Record Properties dialog box. In the lower left is the Playback while Recording selection and there should be a check in the box preceeding it. The Offset box after it should have a value of 0.

thanks and that would have helped...i got it all figured out last night...i had installed a cd burning program and burnt a few cds and that had changed a few of my settings...i got it all straight now...thanks for the reply..i appreciate it...

And i havent found how to save my Music that i make to an Mp3. The things i try to do, It wont work.

The latest version is 4.12. Maybe you should contact FruityLoops support. They're always happy to help their customers.

What sort of techno effect do you mean?

..There are a hell of a lot of different types of voice Fx out there....
If you mean "robot" style voice sound (e.g.Posh Spice on 'Out Of Your Mind', or Cher on 'Believe' then you need "Antares Autotune" - a demo of which you can try here

Note that this is a DirectX plugin and can be used inside CoolEdit as an effect.

Another great program for this kind of thing is "Melodyne"

This is just amazing at what it does, and can do some incredible things to audio files...

"RAW" to CDA conversion

This may be an embarassingly simple issue but I'll ask the question anyway:

I copied a badly scratched CD to my laptop (as my home CD player wouldn't play it), the laptop has the 9 tracks with the ending "RAW", 442 MB altogether.

How can I now make these files playable and burn this to a new disk? Do I need to convert them with an audio program?

Simply renaming the files to .cda or .wav doesn't make them playable on my machine... I tried using the latest OSS Audio Converter, but it doesn't do anything with the files....

Any help appreciated!

I have recently bought a new computer and I tried to transfer my Encore version 4.2 from one computer to the other. On the new one, when I try to open it, I get a meesage "The procedure entry point SMap_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" Anyone know what I can do??

I have an Mc50 and it's not possible. the only way is to play the midifile on your computer and record it with the mc50

Yes, just be sure to load them as .mid song files rather than roland .smp? files.
