which kbps is the best?

i am not entirely sure if this is more a matter of opinion or not. which number of kbps is considered
"the best" in top audio quality and low disk space usage - 128, 160, 320, VBR, etc.? i know that as the number of kbps increases so too does the quality of the song. but what of VBR and how can one best measure what will provide the greatest performance/quality with the lowest amount of space? also, does the kbps affect the volume of the song or is that something more related with your burner? i ask this because i have a free burning program and the volumes of my mix cds tend to range from low to soft. any help about the matter would be appreciated.

Hey Everybody !

I've got a question about hard drive specs. I'm putting togehter a new computer and in the past have had some trouble with audio tracks locking up. also some latency problems. When they say, "get the fastest hard drive you can " what spec are they talking about ? the speed of the drive in RPM's or the the seek time ? or is it something else ? Also does it make sense to put in 2 HD one for applications and one for audio tracks ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Automatic Accompaniment of chords & Rhythms

I am composing tunes & so far I have been transferring on Cakewalk making use of Piano Roll View (well the same I will be doing now onwards making use of Yamaha PSR 740 midi compatible keyboard). My main problem to get help as arranger from some software which can accompany my composed tunes on cakewalk (entered using Piano Roll View) with chords (i.e. harmony) & suitable rhythms. If I am given the rhythm choice from 3 to 4 propose accompanied rhythms then I would be more happy. For your knowledge my composed tunes as stated above I have already entered with beats & tempo as well as with chords taking suggession of cakewalk software. But in entering such chords it takes more time so I am keen to have readymade chords & rhythms for my tunes through any such available software.And the software which you advise would help me in what other manner that you guide me.

Hi all
Please Help!!!Is there any software which acts only as a guitar processor or a distortion box .ACtually a had an amp simulation software but it was very slow and output was late.so i bought a new amp but now i want only a diatortion /processor simulation software is there any ??.i was previously using revalver live and guitar box 2.16 .is there any way to off the amplification and use only the distortion.
I would be greatful for any help.

Take a look at this website, its FREE!
and the stompboxes and amp simulations sound better than many commercial products. Try it, and i'll think you like it, easy to use and great authentic sounds. I actualy compared the JCM900 with my 1992 6100LM Marshall Anniversary, and it comes close.
The Rednef Twin, Univibe and distortion boxes all sound great.
Try the Tubescreamer with an Univibe in front of the JCM900 on Ch A, Jimi and Stevie would have loved this.

I think there are some stomp box effects..

Amplitude is the best software guitar processor I have used. It costs though and most people seem to want free or minimal cost software..

I went to Google and entered "a little Anita, some Luther Vandross"

No matches!

But entering "a little anita" (with the quotes) into Google brought up lots of matches and revealed:

Artist: Kanye West f/ Jamie Foxx & Twista
Album: The College Dropout
Song: Slow Jam (also saw it as Slow Jamz)

You had the phrases backwards in the lyric, so putting the whole thing in gave no matches.

Sometimes less is more!
