"MPC 2000" Back-up to "PC"

I need major help....I nedd to back up my zip100 files from my MPC 2000 to my PC via CD...
The problem is when I insert the zip in my PC, my PC will not reconize all the copys of snd. file
example: FATKIK, FATKIKc, FATKIKcc, FATKIKccc, FATKIKcccc
The PC will think it is all the same file...but this is not true.
I also need the PC to see the files in the order the MPC sees them, because the song orders are layed out that way, it is the only way I know what sounds go with that seq. and programs.

any help.....oh and any program where I can convert my snd. files to wav.

i have a zip internal aswell, i just saw that it does give it the same name when theres a c: next to it
well the options are these
either you go back to your mpc and replace the samples with a number at the end insted of the c's
then dump them into your pc and burn your cd
or you try to rename them on your zip on your pc but then they wont load when you load your aps on the mp.
So do the first option it should work perfect..

ps anyone know where to find the snd converter..?
i used to have it and i dont have it anymore
i herd there was one where you can make an aps or pgm and place your samples on the pads you want ...

i have had my sony mp3 player for a while now and it has always worked. I stopped using it for about 3 months. Now, whenever i try to convert a song from my music drive to my mp3 player (Net MD) - it says :
Failed to authenticate Device/Media.

My Sonic Stage is slower than dog crap? What is wrong? Also, the songs in my library, when I try to transfer them to my NW-HD1, it saids it cannot find the file. How can I fix these these problems?

Hi everyone, i need a great favour from you. i've a NetMD player along with the Sonic Stage software. but the software i have runs only on Windowz plat form. but i don't use Windowz and am using Redhat Linux.
Fedora Core (Yarrow)to be presice. so will you be able to point me to a software which can be used on Linux to burn MD's??

I just got this new MiniDisc player, and I've been real happy with its performance but not the performance of the software. I recently installed sonic stage on my Windows XP and now Sonic Stage won't let me transfer any songs to my MD player.

I have a Sony minidisc player and whenever connect my USB it says its connected but it doesn't show any of the songs that are on the player and it alaways freezes when i try to put songs into sonic stage Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee HELP ME thx

hello

If I try to convert an MP3 to a ATRAC3 at 66kps, it converts it into this extremely small size file that doesn't play anything. This problem just started recently, anyone know a solution. I use a NetMD too.

I can't put a song anymore on my mini-disc,it's always saying:Detecting errors........Can't write info into the device/media.

Can you please help me with that problem because it's really boring without music.Thanks

i got the same problem. i figured it out wats causing it but not how to fix it. its when u convert files from MP3 to ATRAC3 then it crashes. i got some of the songs coverted but i think dat i was jst extremly lucky. if anyone knows how to fix it plz msg me.

Sonic stage burn cds

Anyone else having issues burning cd's after installing Sonic Stage? Using XP home and have had most of my music in Win Media and presume sonic stage has somehow locked out the ability to burn cd's. Reading their book though, implies I can burn a finite number of songs but alas, can't burn the CD.

Help and suggestions would be appreciated!

Is it possible to listen to tracks on a minidisc through the computer? my minidisc doesn't have a line out, can u listen through the usb? is there other programs to use? Does sony have online help page?
any help or knowledge from fellow minidisc ppl would be much appreciated.

Don't bother with Sonic Stage - use RealOne Player. You will probably have to add a new device and download the NetMD plugin.

Hi there. Can anyone tell me if you can record in LP4 mode using the truly annoying sonic stage software? At the moment it seems as if it will only let me record in LP2 and its driving me mad. Please help!!

sonic stage only works form windows 98 SE. you certainly have the first version. i have the same problem.

the directions for the software state that it will only check in those things that it checked out. the only way to get stuff like that onto sonic stage is to go around it by burning a CD of the MD and then ripping the CD into sonic stage. it's all part of Sony's elaborate plan to end piracy in all forms, but they have crippled the usability of a cool format.

converting casset tape music to a computer file
