Here is a website of a family that needs help saving their home. It appears that the family home is in foreclosure due to medical bills, a family member having no insurance and trying to care for a sick elderly person.

There is some pictures on the website link pages. I also noticed electronic donations and donations by mail being accepted.

The website explains in greater detail than I can. I just happened upon this site today.

Reason 2.0/2.5 has two different samplers - the NN19 and the NN-XT - but these units are playback only. For something that does record, have a look at Native Instruments Kontakt (http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?kontakt_us)

Way out of my element here so be gentle. Daughter is an aspiring singer. She is looking for a way to record vocals with background music and possibly some original guitar. I can't seem to come up with a combination that will allow her to easily combine background music and her music/guitar. What would you suggest as a starter package? Thanks!

Just use a multi-track recorder. She can record her guitar & voice tracks at will.

You could always burn the demos to disc or email them to someone who has a burner.

If you have a four minute song as a standard 44.1 Khz stereo WAV file it will probably be about 40 meg in size. If you convert the WAV to 128 Kbps MP3, then it will be around 4 MB in size.

First thing first, though. Start making a bit of music :)

You can make beats using the drum machine. You could then import the beat into Acid Express and then loop it and throw on some samples to augment the beat ie. bass, synth, etc.

Audacity would allow you to create and edit samples. I've used it to record myself playing rhythms on a bin and make some loops.

Acid Express would allow you to mix several tracks (basic mix) together to come up with something certainly good enough for a demo.

As for saving to floppy, dream on! A 3 minute song saved as a WAV would be best saved to CDR. If you saved as a mono MP3, you might squeeze two minutes at most onto a floppy. But the quality of the file would be a bit of a disappointment.

Just experiment if all else fails :)

If I got waves platinum bundle for mastering, how do I set up and get it to work with cool edit pro 2.0 or sonar 3 producer. I can't seem to figure it out, I'm not sure if the programs are working together, can directx be used to bring the multi-recorder to work with the waves platinum. I have been trying to watch a music video that came as a bonus on my cd but when I try to play it in the dvd player it says 'unsupported format detected in drive e'. Please help me if you know how I can rectify this!!!!! Is there anything that I can download to help me?????

It's probably meant for your computer. If it doesn't audio play when you put it in the computer, try finding the actual movie file and playing it with something like Quicktime...
