Free Guitar “Sound” Analyzer

I’d like to use my computer to help learn why some of my favorite rock guitar song sounds are appealing to me. I’d also like to learn how to adequately reproduce them using equipment I currently own.

Is there a software product available to graph the sound of a recording and compare it to a user input attempt to match that sound? I’m picturing something that generates basic graphic EQ type frequency data and maybe some sort of waveform display to help me dial it in on my equipment.

Freeware would be great. Shareware would be good, and full-blown production software might give me the right search terms to find other options depending on price.

I have a microphone modeller that I'm trying to use on my vocals. I'm wondering where to send the dry vocal track, where to send back the wet vocal, and what input/output to use to hook up the modeller.

One with a 3.5mm plug on each end... the same size as your headphones plug. Basically you connect one end to the headphone socket on the MD and the other end to your soundcards LINE-IN and use a recording program.

can anyone help me with a problem with the Kawai q80 sequencer? PLEASE?!

I bought a used one and it seems to function- it can play the demo songs from my synth, it seems to communicate fine on the current setup with my synth (sound maoduel and controller).

BUT: for some reason I cannot fathom, I cannot record on most tracks, while under REAL TIME SONG RECORD mode. I try to record something, but though the lights now indicate that something has been recorded on that track, no sound issues during playback. I cannot explain it rationally, as I have managed to record some tracks this way successfully, but only a select few, and with no particular pattern or number to them.

I have found nothing in the manual about it.

Anyone have ANY idea whatit could possbily be????

I appreciate ANY suggestions.

SEE WHAT MIDI CHANNEL YOU'RE SENDING DATA FROM,; MAKE SURE THE TRACK YOU'RE RECORDING TO IS SET UP TO RECEIVE ON THAT MIDI CHANNEL.

Mixdown In Fruity loops.

Just a question to the experienced fruity loop users out their.

Is it me or does fruity sound muddy after export.
ive tryed EQ'ing many of the samples (parametric EQ) but it still seems to be clouded out and not clear after export.
could it be the softwares exporting algorithms itself?
comparing to cubase and reason their alot more clearer.

Can anyone give me some tips on a good mixdown in fruity?

STANDARD MIDI FILES ON JV1000

Can anyone out there help me please . Its probably a bit of a basic question but someone take pity on me . Ive got a roland JV 1000 and ive downloaded some midi files ( .mid ) from the net and they wont now load onto the synth . I keep getting an I/0 12 disk error which says that the disk is damaged . Dont believe that but tried with a different disk and it still didn't work . Ive also tried initialising the disk on the JV1000 first and then trying to save them but the PC doesn,t then like the disk . Is there anyway to sort this out . would be REALLY grateful for any advice

The track in the new Axe advert is called "Prelude", and it was written and produced by ... me!

Mpc 2000 sync with Protools

I can't get my Protools to sync with my MPC 2000. The Sync connection is through my Motu-lite midi interface. MPC is in waiting for sync mode, but when activating protools the clock on transport bar stops blinking. Is ther anything in Protools I have to set to get the signal running?

Hello,

Ok, I don't know the song name but I know it is Hip Hop / R&B type. It was played on Hot97 radio station (if you are in east coast/NY city.)

It's really hard to remember them since I heard this a little while ago... but, there is a rap section and the chorus (girls chorus) with words like "set my heart on fire"... and definitely the words "yum yum yum"... and words like "love that you need" etc.

I know that's not a whole lot but, I really appreciate any help.

i'm just starting this music thing. me and my boyfriend have a asrx and we need a recorder...do suggest getting a digital recoder or should we just try to hook a computer up to our system so we can use a music program to record lyrics and stuff????
