a hyundai video karaoke player has his own cd format that contains 5000+ songs or more.

i need a software that can edit or make a video karaoke of that format.

I am looking or a freeware or shareware program that will scan music into a tiff file (or any format) and then do an optical character recognition to a midi file (like text OCR to a word processor file).

The commercail programs are around $100., and that's more than I would lieke to pay.

DAE error 9060/unable to record/Norton

I am running protools HD 6.4 Mac osx/Unable to record after installing Norton/ Sweetwater music said we could start up /run speed disk without installing,optimize then move on.can't get it to do so/instaliing was a disaster.Is there any other program that anyone is using besides Norton to optimize ? HELP!

I just purchased a roland v drum kit with midi out and would like to sync with a simple (preferably free to start) software program that would allow real time record and mixing of tracks. If it has generic sounds to add a bass line etc. that would go appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I do it very easily with my mac.
Audio output form the tape to the audio input in my Mac G4.
And I use the software: Soundstudio.

Music studio software

My 15 year old son loves to play the keyboard and composes music on it all the time. I'd like to get him some music studio software for his computer, but I don't know what to get.

A few years ago, I bought a studio program by Voyetra, but I could never get it to work. Everything works except the midi in function and according to Voyetra's website, the problem is a hardware problem.

My budget is extremely limited right now so I don't think I can invest in a new sound card, but I'd like to get a different music studio program, especially since that Voyetra program is fairly old now.

I see many other programs on the market, and I've looked for reviews, but none of them make sense to me. I might as well just close my eyes and pick one.

We have a midi-compatible keyboard and a midi cable. Our computer uses Windows ME and has a Creative Labs soundcard. The best way to describe the kind of music my son likes is that it's what you'd expect to hear in a movie soundtrack or a video game. He also likes English and Celtic folk music as well as "Renaissance Faire" music.

Can someone please help me? I'd like this to be a special Christmas for my musically talented son. Thank you.

i own a power book g4 1g 256.
i want to programme beats at first and the move on to full song creation. i was thinking about getting a sampler to sample from records but have been having conflicting advise......some say the mpc is almost obsolete and that i shoul just go with a computer based sampler and go from there........please advice me on this....i would love to start right away.......cheers guys.....the novice

mmjb.exe is not responding

when i go to shut down my computer i keep getting this message. mmjb.exe is not responding. It keeps returning if i close it or end it several times before my computer shuts down. How do i resolve the problem.

Try "Finale" - there is a link on this site, under notation software. Go to the website and ask, but I am sure that they were trying to work on this as a feature for the 2005 version....Cheers

WAV to SWF

I need a good quality .wav to .swf convertor (either desktop app or serverside). I record messages on the PC in .wav format (which sounds great) but when I convert them to .swf using shareware - it sucks. I don't have control over the convertion settings either. HELP? email me please with tips.

Reason 2.5

Ive got a copy of Reason 2.5. I installed all three discs without any problem. When I ran it for the forst time it asked for cd2. I put it in but nothing happened. Can anyone tell me what to do to make it work.. Thanks BMC

good software for recording music

I want to get my dad some software so he can record while he plays guitar and sings. We are getting a Mac, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of recording software for them. I don't care about mixing, or loops, etc. just some simple recording software. does any one know of any brand names?
