You could import the audio into and audio editor and then change it's gain. Just a matter of selecting ALL of the audio and changing it's gain...

Awhile back BBC mentioned that the designers of either MPEG OR JPEG were developing software. This software only required you to whistle or hum into microphone and the software would allow you to develop the tune further, similar to a MIDI system.
Has anyone else heard of this.

I've heard of monophonic converters but nothing recently about this kind of thing.

Ive been finding lots of albums I download come as a single mp3 with a .que file. It appears to be a text file with a track listing. Does anyone know how to play/burn mp3/music using ".que" files? Winamp plugin maybe?

I found a little on google about using Nero to burn CDs using .que files, but I couldnt get it to work...

any suggestions?

The answer to both questions is yes....but only in very basic situations.

WAV to MIDI can be done, but only with single instrument tracks. The same with vocal removal - only if the voice is present with minimal instrumental backing. Anything more complex and you run into problems.

I am trying to use a PSR 520 and MIDI cables that connect to the Joystick port of my soundcard to record music. I use a demo version of Fruityloops. When i open the software, it recognizes the MIDI input, (the MIDI light goes on and off) but the input is recognized as control rather than the actual notes i play.

I also use a software called Anvil studio, which has a MIDI test mode, where the notes it plays are received proparly by the keyboard, but when i play notes, they are recognized as some control MIDI messages.

Could this be a problem with the keyboard/synth/ ??

any help would be appreciated,

Hi Krish,

I also recently started experimenting with Midi using Anvil Studio.

Anvil Studio's basic package is a fully functioning application that will allow you to create and save your work. They make money by selling you add-on modules that have additional capabilities.

Not sure what you mean by Control Midi messages. Are you talking about the 'View' that you're in ? There are several ways you can look at your music including Piano Roll and Staff (looks like regular printed sheet music.) You can also see it as the 'Control Commands' which is the stuff behind Midi music.

Sounds like you have the 'Midi In' setup correctly but maybe not the 'Midi Out' settings ...?

Try going to the View->Synthesizers menu and changing some of the settings under the 'Midi Out Port:' menu. (Use the 'Back' menu selection to return to your working view.)

You don't mention what type of Sound Card you're using but I've been replacing all of mine with the Sound Blaster Live! cards from Creative because of the Sound Font technology they support.

If it's a demo version, then it may have been designed to "work" in this way. You can't expect demo versions to work like the full version - it'll have some functions disabled (usually SAVE, but often other bits as well). If you want full functionality, you'll have to buy the full version.

SonicStage error importing songs to MD

Hello I've Net MD Walkman MZ-N510 , I installed sonicstage and I try to burn CD --> MD and works with a cds a other no.. and I try to burn from Music Drive , and I get this error
An error has occurred while converting the data.
Tube & Berger - Straight Ahead

for eg.
I was looking for all solutions.. googling etc..

i have net md sonic stage crashes wen i try 2 import why? p.s why are so many people having problems? dont get version 2.0 doesnt eaven come on when installed =( mini disk great getting music on the thing ery frustrating

application error unable to detect a aspi manager
