converting midi files

I am a mum who has no idea what she is doing!! I have taught myself how to edit music but now need to find out how to convert midi files so I can burn them. I think I need to convert them to aiff files but not 100% sure. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

When i download alot of the new music there is this sort of static or high pitched frequency that plays over the song so u cant hear it. Can it be removed????
it seems to be fast-forwarding the song or somehing. Any ideas>????

The chances are that those files are deliberately corrputed and made available by the forces that be to dissuade you from downloading 'new music'.

Can't open karlette.dll while installing Cubase

I installing cubase5 vst32. I'm using Windows 2000 and a Audiophile soundcard.

While installing i get an error message:
The file '\Karletee.dll' could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. Access is denied.

I do not have a clue what to do. Who can help me?

I'm looking for a programme that will enable me to convert .ra files to midi files, ideally free, but I would be prepared to pay. Any ideas?

there isn't a program that does this. in any event, you can convert the RA to WAV and then convert the WAV to MIDI. but i doubt the quality of the resulting file will impress you.

ok i have just bought an mp3 player and because i can only fit like on average 30 songs on it, i want to compress my mp3's so i can fit more on my player, but the problem is ive searched the web so much and cant find a specific tool or software program that can do this for me, it cant be this hard but it is so could sum1 please help me by givin me a link to some software

Hi Folks..
I have just got a Edirol DA2496 Audio Interface for my PC...I have connected the line in (7&8) and line out (1&2) to the tape loop on my NAD C370 amp so I can play audio and also record audio from CD,Minidisc etc onto my PC.

I have audio reaching the PC, fine, and I have audio coming outta the PC but instead of only hearing it when the appropriate input on the amp is selected, I can hear it no matter whether I select tuner,CD,aux etc on the amp...

Any ideas on this strange problem???

I have been recording music on my Roland VS-1680 HD-recorder for some time now. But moving tracks around is so slow and not user-friendly.
So I plan to finally buy an up-to-date PC with Cubase and use that for recording. The visual approach to recording must be much faster.
What are the requirements when it comes to CPU-speed, RAM, Windows-XP?, internal/external soundcards and so on. I don't want to buy a PC, that won't do the trick.
It's got to be expandable too.

mk1 files for free karaoke player

Problem with midi quality using Live!-card

Hi!

Months ago i bought a Live! card and enjoyed the quality of the midi sounds.

Then i got a new computer and inserted my live!card, and now the midi sounds (using cakewalk) are of very bad quality.

Does anyone know what the problem can be??

I'm trying to figure out the band name, or the song name to this song....I can only tell you a few parts of it that I have heard though.

"and I wonder.....everything you asked of me...."

"and she said she will...."

at one part after that second line, its like they're talking on the phone or something, this song can't be more than 5 or 6 years old, its rock, and there's really good drumming in it. I would love to know who did this song!

The song I'm looking for is something about a party at the Holiday Inn. It goes like "who you with? blabla what you doing?" blabla ... e-mail me back if i'm not crazy and you know what I'm talking about. It's kinda like a rap song-ish.

I also am looking for the name/artist of a song. The refrain is " there ain't no good guys...there ain't no bad guys, there's only you and me and we just disagree. It is a male vocalist, possibly a solo artist, white, and I would say that the song is more than 10 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
