You can't. You'll have to use audio capture software such as <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TotalRecorder/">Total Recorder</a>. Just look in the audio recording section of the site, there are freeware recorders that should do the job.

If it is one of the new USB MD's it should be no problem, and the software probably came on a CD with the MD. If it's an older MD with an optical out you will need to get a sound card with an optical in. To date I don't think any one makes an MD drive for a computer so that's out.

: hey! i downloaded "8 mile" 3 times!!!! n none of em work! the first 1 as a file error! n he other two are in 2 seperate parts (pobably 4 vcd!) n e way i tried openin em on my computer n it comes up (on all the softwares that i ave)as a blank screen without sound but the timer is countin down!!! does n e 1 know y this is? or ave i jus downloaded crapy fings??? plz reply ASAP!

I'm a big fan of PC based DAW's and record mainly rock, but some Blue grass and even the occasional dance groove. It's very versatile. Hard ware has it's perks too. Some people just interface with it better. Personally I work better with a computer than knobs and cables.
