What is SFK File?

I have several excerpts that are SFK files. What are these?? Windows Media Player will not play the files...is there any software that will play SFK? Can it be played on Mac and Windows??

The files that are .SFK..

These are files were someone or youre self has used Sound Forge TO EDIT MUSIC, a Media Player will not play the files these are just tmp files for the editing of music
