Convert SNG files to WAV ??

I have a Kurzweil digital keyboard which stores my songs on disk, formatted SNG. I want to convert them to WAV so I can burn them onto CD.

I use WinAmp to convert MP3 to WAV. It will also handle several other types (MID, etc) so if I can go from SNG to something else, I can still ultimately get to WAV.

you need to connect your keyboard stereo line output to your sound card (line input) and record the sound during playing.
Maybe for recording for cd quality you need a better recording device and software.

I'm looking for a simple to use multi-track recording software for my PC. All I need to do is be able to mix Mic, guitar etc.. to WAV files from Band in a Box. Any suggestions on the easiest way to go??

EQing Midi tracks - XGEdit???

I think you can use XGEdit by Yamaha to tweek midi tracks from within a sequencer - not sure. Data Becker's Music Centre Pro has it's own built in XG funcionality with Resonance/Cut (plus much more including delay/distortion etc) for each midi track which are excellent for EQing.

Ron with the right writer and cdrwin 3.8 a or b versions but not version 4.0 it dont work, you will be able to copy cd/g and yes the graphics as well i have a sony writer (140 e) which works fine down load the demo version of cdrwin, do a google search look for golden hawk, and if your writer is compatable the software will tell you (the cd/g button will be high lighted)

If so convert mp3s to .wav files first - maybe with 'CDex' which is freeware or you might already have a format converter? Then simply use your CD burning software for the final step - simple!

1 - Es muy sencillo... Primero cambia tu asx a asf. Luego busca en yahoo el archivo TMPGEnc-2.59.47.155-Free.zip y transforma el asf a mpeg...

2 - Si eso no te funciona utiliza este otro truco: abre tu asx con el block de notas y copia la dirección URL que aparece del archivo asf. Después pega la URL en tu browser y el archivo .asf bajará al directorio que tú le indiques. Intenta nuevamente la conversión con el programa TMPGEnc.

3 - Si por cualquier cosa ninguna de esas 2 anteriores te llega a resultar, entonces sigue esta otra: averigua de dónde sacaste tu asx. Anota la URL de la página dónde lo sacaste. Después busca al dueño de la página o al webmaster y pide que te venda el asx en versión mpeg... JA-JA!

I'm also looking for a program that will record mpeg video from vcr. I use the dazzle video creator.

You need <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SonicFoundryAcid/">ACID</a>. Make sure you convert the files to WAV before mixing.

i have a pentium 200 32mb ram opti sound card and its got me stumped. the soundcard works fine on any program except a cd player,wav player or midi player. on player software i can see the progress bar moving left to right but no sound, any ideas?

Hello Fred,
The first thing to check is your volume settings. Double click on the speaker icon on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Make sure there not muted and the volume is turned up. The second thing to check is under Start menu - Settings - Control Panel- Multimedia, there you can check that your soundcard is selected and the volume is turned up.

Are you running multiple apps when your trying to listen to a CD? Some audio apps "steal" the sound card, and allow only one output....

I have a music program that runs properly bur won't exit properly although it used to . What's gone wrong with the syatem files or any thing else probably caused by a later installation?

Yes indeed, later installations may have corrupted neccessary files. Remedy the situation by uninstalling your music program + removing all of it's files using find>files or folders before reinstalling it. This may solve hicup.

It's a good first move Geoff and let's see if it helps but I'd say you still need to specify the freeware/shareware/price nature of programs in your lengthy listings to save people from needlessly opening every link under the category they are interested in to find something in their price range. If these improvements continue I may not feel obliged to point novices in the direction www.sonicspot.com anymore!
