Need ReBirth help.........

whenever i move the mouse around, it starts skipping like mad. Iv'e tried it with a MME driver and a directx and I have 32mbs of ram......and it doesn't stop skipping........could anyone tell me what else it could be??

Follow Nexus's advice and adjust the response in the preferences of ReBirth.

32 Megs is a bit on the light side if you are using ReBirth 2.0 with .RBM mod files. If this is the case, only put 1 or 2 .rbm files in the ReBirth RB-338/Mods/ directory.

For your system. I recommend not putting more than half a dozen or so mods in the "mods" folder. Since rebirth reads through all of the mods when the application starts up. Having only a few mods installed will lighten the load on your system.

there was definitely a BPM counter avail at the shareware music machine last month
you'll have to hunt for it

Pretty much any synthesizer or sampler program such as gigasampler, reality, or one of the yamaha soft synth programs could do this, just run the program thru a MIDI program such as cakewalk or cubase to connect them to your MIDI keyboard.

What I need to know is this, is there a program that can teach me how to play the piano so that I could get started on my way to making music.

You can get the program called TOTAL RECORDER it turns any sound into wav..

Need help pulling music from mini-cd to computer

I have a sony mini-cd with which I have recorded a number of concerts.
I want to transfer the music to my computer so I can burn full size CDs.
I have tried recording thru sound card - but got lots of static and poor quality.
The outputs (unfortunately) on the mini-cd are not digital.
Anybody know how to digitally transfer to computer without "recording"?
OR - does anyone know how to record cleanly?

I have problems because it looks like the program changes the notes lasting so when I listen the recorded track it is quite different to the original. some people say that maybe it is a problem with my MIDI cable but I am not sure .

I think this is a bad configuration of my Cakewalk. I don't know what to do.

If somebody can help me, I will appreciate the cooperation.

Sounds like some bad "quantize" settings. Cakewalk can quantize midi recordings so that the notes line up to bar lines and beats. This can be a problem if you are a more expressive player than Cakewalk is a quantizer.
Try turning off the input quantize settings. I'm not sure where they are exactly but with a name like quantize, they shouldn't be hard to find.

Sometimes Cakewalk does change the length of notes a bit, but you can easily edit that with your piano roll view. If it get's changed completely, try to see if your key aftertouch and channel aftertouch gets recorded. It's usually under global options/midi. Otherwise I don't know. Maybe if you tell me exactly what you do get after recording - totally different notes or just the lengths?

You need to get the Cakewalk configuration for your PSR-620. These configurations are just maps of the voices on a particular keyboard. People make new configurations all the time. See if you can find one for a PSR-620 to download from Cakewalk's website. Or just go to a search engine and search for "PSR-620 patch lists."

I mean giving a Start Time and a lenght for recording.

Its is free ware available to down load here at shareware music machines.

I had similar problem. Maybe this helps:
Go to mixer. And check if record mode is enabled.
In SB AWE 64 mixer there is a tricky switch between record and playback mode. It`s not enough to make shure the mic is on in playback mode. You must do the same in record mode

What if that doesn't work? In my audio setup i don't even have any drivers for mic. input. All i have is a SB16 wave-in component, is there anything else i can do?

in paltalk the word createsocketeror appears.
nothings muted i just want people to be able to hear me please.

i have been having troubles with my mic.
it is plugged into its proper hole in the tower, but it refuses to record anything in the sound recorder..
it just will not work.
i even purchased a new mic, but the same problem happened...so it must be my computer.
please i would appreciate any advice.....

I'm having troubles with my mic too. Any sounds that go into the mic go strait to the speakers, but I can't record. Any suggestions?
