Did u even read through my entire message,If u look closely and read,all the directions are pointing that the site is in USA,and no where it is written that the site is located in Pakistan.

But u r right about one thing,That no one is for sure where this site belongs to,But ATLEAST I PROVIDED SOME THING THAT LEAD TO ITS DESTINATION.So if this guy has got proof that this site is located in pakistan?why doesn't he show even a little amount of proof which shows that this site REALLy is located in Pakistan.

Some how they billed me for something to my credit card and I had no ideal, this matter will be looked into against them, it has been reported and action will be brought. I agree with David stay far away from them, hell in my case I didn't know they where here, intill now after I looked up whom used my credit card without my permission...(Criminal)!!!

first, thanks for the info on mp3u, etc. whoever they are--good to know they suck. i almost got drawn in too, but decided to research them before buying in...so here i am now looking into kaaza.com, will check out pressplay.com. both appear to require membership fees as well, so i'd like to know the word on these and about any other sites folks recommend. my gig is electronica, break beats/loungy-chill are my favs. i have mp3s/movies to potentially exchange, but i want a big selection. also, want to avoid those places that make you upload files then magically "disconnect" before you get to download.

The sites you mentioned do not re-sell free ware, they sell stolen recording. There target market is the Napster user that doesn’t know about all the new mp3 search engins (ka**a and b***share) I don't thing it has anything to do with being located in "Pakistan" or "Middle East" relations. It's just an illegal site providing an illegal service like many others located in the US and UK.

I tried subscribing to MP3u today and, after entering my credit card info, I hit the submit button and the screen just blinked. I hit submit again, and got the same result. Then I started to worry about multiple billings. But I couldn't find a way to contact them through their site. THEN I found this email. Now that I know what they are all about, I don't want their service but VISA says there is no way to prevent charges from appearing on my account. 'You have to write them a letter, wait fifteen days, blah blah blah...' This is not good. Thanks for the heads-up.

Due to the complexities of laws across international
boundaries it's pretty much impossible to regulate
all web sites.

However you can protect yourself by only dealing with
sites or businesses that have been around for many
years (like hitsquad:) and by not buying anything from
sites claiming to give you Free Copyright Material
without first checking with the copyright owners if it
is a legit offer.

You can find out information about scam sites by
searching on sites like Google and keeping up to date
with discussion forums like this one.

I ordered the service from MP3U.com before reading this posting and quickly cancelled my credit card after reading this. I was already billed for the initial payment but if I only have to pay that and never have anyother problems from this mistake I'll be happy. Is there anything else I should do to protect myself? Other than junk email, can they do anything else without a valid credit card number? If anyone has any information please let me know. thanks

windows media 7.1 no playlists, no video

i am currently unable to make any playlists in windows media player as it tells me there is an unspecified error, it also appears as though there are no music files at all. in order to play something i have to play it through my mp3 download software winmx.
the other problem is that some of the video i try to watch plays the sound but nothing can be seen. when i try doing it through real player it tells me i need a divx codec. any ideas? i read the solution to no playlists on media player but am unsure of how to change the settings through the administrator. could anyone tell me how to fix this problem in a way i could understand. i would be very grateful as it's driving me nuts, thanks

Cool Edit is a nice program for this task. You can record the tape (via the line in, selected in the windows mixer in the lower right of the screen) Cool Edit will then allow you to reduce the noise, and adjust the EQ to eliminate the hiss(4k ish), and boost the vocal enunciation (1k ish)

Kazaa alternatives???

I need some major help.. I have written before, but i am still having trouble.
My Kazaa wont connect. I know i shouldnt bother with it, because it's bad news and all that, but I dont know of any other good programs that i can DL mp3's off of. Does anyone have any suggestions??
If not, do you know whats wrong with my Kazaa?? I just reformatted my computer so their isnt anything wrong in that department.

although the actual program is not the problem, you should download kazaa lite, its free and no pop ups , it also comes with integrated software like avi preview and speed up, and also you will be given high priority on all downloads unlike the original kazaa which gives u priority depending on how many files ur sharing, k-lite immeadatly gives you "supreme being"

Unisntall Kazaa and Download kazaa lite from www.k-lite.tk that should get rif of the problem
