AUDIO TRIGGERED VST SAMPLER PLUGIN ???

Gosh! i've looked for that everywhere...
My request is: a sensitive VST-Plug-in for Mac (NOT a midi VSTinstrument) that would behave like a sampler but triggered by realtime audio events, such as for example a snare played live in a microphone, to the audio input of the mac...(combined with an MDAtracker, A revolution for live-performing... In my dreams, it would be able to learn to recognize the harmonics, the spectrum of the snaredrum you're using, and then when you play it, it would immediately trigger the sample, at the right velocity... and you would be able to mix the direct input and the triggered sample... Come on, Software-makers!!! Real-time is the future !!!!

You could try to use the maximg | digital audio BeatBox VST plugin. I haven't had much time to really get to know it yet myself but it might be able to do what you are asking for...

KTDrumTrigger is a VST plugin with custom editor that triggers MIDI notes based on the sound level of the incoming audio stream in different frequency bands. It allows you to "detect" occurrences of percussive sounds in an audio stream and send out a MIDI event whenever that happens. find it at http://www.smartelectronix.com/%7Ekoen/KTDrumTrigger/ it's saved my ass on crappy recording acustic drums several times. for mac and pc. did i mention it's FREE????
