Your question is akin to asking what's the best hiphop/rap song. The answer is going to be different for different people.

I'll problebly get my testicles ripped off for reccomending this,but HAMMERHEAD (I find) has a lot of Hip Hoppy samples that come with it (free too!)

I don't like it because
A: It sucks
B: I don't make Hip Hop

But for sure man, get Hammerhead and ACID LOOPS. Even check out RUBBERDUCK for basslines.

Or you can be a dickhead and go buy HIPHOP maker pro or some shit like that at RadioShack,

There are a few books on this kind of thing. You really should invest in one or two of them. A few dollars now could save you many thousands down the line.

If you're using CD-Rs, then you can't delete stuff once you've put it on the disk. You can delete stuff from the indesx, but you don't get the space back. Only with CD-RW disks can you delete things and get the space back. But, they cost more and can't be used on many external CD players.

If you're using CD-Rs, then there's nothing you can do once you've put something on it. You can delete things off CD-Rs, but all that does is remove them from the index, you don't get the space back.

More expensive CD-RW disks can be re-formatted, but they can't be used on many external CD players.

Hi, i would like to alter the pitch of a wave file up 1 semitone, but maintain the wav's original time. Goldwave does this, but with a significant loss in quality. Are there any better ways to accomplish this?

Hi! My suggestion is that you try with soundforge 5.0 instead. Quality is O.K. according to me.

Hi,
I don't know much about home studio software.
I have a PowerMac with a G3 accelerator installed (OS 8.1) 64MB RAM
I want to record my guitar and voice, and put it over a software drum machine and synthesiser or a sequence created without the use of a keyboard, and output it to a wav file.
I would prefer freeware and shareware at this point because of financial limitations.
I have looked around general shareware etc. but can't seem to find stuff to meet my requirements. Does anyone know if this is possible?

The machine (g3)should do it.Perhaps more ram.Look into Protools and Metro.Do you have a playstation?MTV music and video generator is a great $40 tool for creating drum beats and stuff.I edit audio (16 tracks at a pop)on a G3 powerbook 400mhz with 192 megs and metro 5.0(50 bucks now)oh yeah,install os 8.6.too.I like it better than 9 even.

Don't know if anyone has ever used a DI box that requires phantom powering from a desk but I have always used ones that don't and therefore plugs into a line input. I have seen this one (link below) and wondered if it works well with the Microphone input of a desk as this is the only input that supplies 48vdc phantom.

I'm sure it must but it seems strange as the output from the DI is usually line level or there abouts....

Theoretically, it can be done, but it depends on the type of interface the drive has.

Having said that, it's very likely to cost more to convert an internal drive to an external drive that it would cost to simply buy a ready-made external drive.

Go to www.acidplanet.com and get on the communtiy page. A lot of us folks here on acid planet can give you the info. you need. I just started using A3 software so I'm pretty new at it so I can't help you. Get on that communtiy page and you shall get a lot of info.. Make sure you create an artist profile if you haven't already so you can post your question. You might want to go under the nubie's section or tips section. Hope this helps. Good luck!!! I'm trying to make my site with music and now I need to convert my mp3 file to wav files, but it turned out to be 10 times as big... so i was wondering is there a programme for converting the mp3's to wav files with only music (so u only hear "bing bing, etc")... or is there an other way to get music on my site, please help!

If it supports WMA files (wintoes media audio), try microsoft's windows media encoder...
