I have a digital grand piano with a hard drive and I can record my songs on a floppy disc, but when I go to download it to my computer it won't open it. I use Windows Media Player and it says it won't except the .sng file. Any suggestions on how to convert it to a .wav file?

CD creation help!

Yes there are still some of us out here who don't even know the basics! So with that said here is my problem. I have a set of three CDs that I would like to select individual tracks from and make a single 'favorites' CD. The format show on the original CDs show a '.cda' extension. I can select any track from the original CD and it will open the Windows Media Player' and play the track. When I copy the tracks to my hard disk and try and select them the same as I did on the CD I am informed that the format is not supported. Now! How do I grab the single tracks from each CD and get them onto a single disk? I only have Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5c. I am assuming there are better programs out there, but which one. Thanks in advance.

Visiosonic PCDJ will allow you to beat mix MP3's like decks or whatever... they even have a free version that isn't too bad..

As for checking if an MP3 is corupt, how about loading it up into a program like cool edit or something (An audio editor) then save it again..

It's a seperate program in cakewalk 9. You have to install it seperately.

Let me give you a little tip-go to the store and buy only a synth controler.It does not have any sounds but it is akeyboard that you connect to your sound card and it will enable you to play thrue any sound card.Some of the controlers cost as little as $60.00

Tip 2
Buy Soundblaster Live soundcard-$49.00.
It has a special feature-you can download very professional sounfonts off the internet,drop them in SB Live folder and you are on your way to perform some of your own tunes

I think,it is the cheapest solution ever.

Its the piano roll view. Its a step sequencer and in the main screen or Cakewalk its a button on the browser that looks like a smale set of ivories. Just click, then input the notes to the grid. easy as pie!

Actually, there IS none, and it's fucked! my sound card has a pretty good synth. on it, and previous versions were great for it.. i'd even modified a keyboard to play piano on my pooter.

There is supposed to be a small virtual keyboard window that actually looks like a little keyboard that you can even use the qwerty keys to play. It's not there! It's supposed to be under tools where you may find "virtual jukebox", but alas no vpiano. It was in 6.0! Where did it go? Currently I'm going to try using the 6.0 vpiano with studio 9 as it appears to be a plugin.

CUBASIS VST VS. CUBASE VST??

Does anyone know where I could find a comparison of Cubase VST vs. Cubasis VST. I can't seems to find out what the differences are. Cubase is much more expensive and I want to know if I need it or if light version will suffice.
What does CUBASE VST have that CUBASIS VST doesn't?

I'm not sure, but I think that Cubasis has
less plug-ins, and much fewer MIDI commands.
I am familiar with Cubasis, but not Cubase so much.

you could get a free catalog from soundchaser.com

they have tons of software, and each is pretty
well described. I know they have those programs
cause that's where I got my system.

mc-505 vs cubase

i hooked up my mc-505 onto cubase and when i record i immediatly get an error message: "Error! MIDI buffer full!" I hope someone recognises this problem, 'cause there's a lot of information involved. i wish i was more technical at these kinds of things:(

You will probably have selected the thru option in cubase.
Try to send as less midi information as possible till you find that problem
(make sure that only one module(pc/505) is SENDING and another receiving, if you mix it up you get a classical midi-loopback

That's why you have a sampler to use.But if you planned on using a sample as a tone it might be possible linking the sampler to the matrix on the back panel using the patch cords.Good luck

there was some VM3100pro's that shipped with 3100 e-proms. so the effects 2 would not work on these units. roland will fix it for free.

The only thing I have found is Midi Quest 8.0 by SoundQuest. It works AWESOME...this is what you need. You can download a demo from www.squest.com
