how to select L R channel for mpg?????

I ripped my karaoke vcd to mpgs but now my player does not allow me to select L, R or stereo for the mpg files. Is there any player that does this?

Hi I hope someone can help me. I want to produce a good quality house tune using my computer but don't really know what software I can use. Not vey much money so I am looking for shareware packages. Any suggestions, comments would be so welcome. Thanx very much.

Ok, here we go:

1.multitrack/sequencer
-massiva(freeware)-can play and record audio, midi(plus soundfont playback support.)
-quartz audio master freeware(same as above, don't know if it can playback soundfonts)

2.drum machine
-hammerhead(freeware), only drawback is loading samples requires that the sample be converted from a wav to raw but that's just a time thing)
-leafdrums(shareware), fully functional though, lots of effects, easier to load samples

3.loop editor
-tuareg(free version), you can sequence and totally rearrange samples, comes with a drum machine and bass sequncer
-xrazor(freeware), chop up loops, time stretch, and reaarange chopped up beats

4.sample generator
-simsynth(freeware)
-orangator(freeware)
-drumsynth

4. tons of samples can be downloaded from the net, I find that some of the best quality one are the free ones given away from sample or music software mfgs.

There are a lot of really good freeware available, if you take the time to see what each can do collectively you will have a lot of options as far aswhat you can do to personalize your beats.

PLEASE HELP I'M A NEW P.C USER AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW I CAN PLAY MY GUITAR THROUGH MY P.C AND USE IT AS A RECORDING STUDIO.I HAVE A SOUNDBLASTER 128 LIVE SOUND CARD AND HAVE RECENTLEY PURCHASED A MIDI LEAD BUT I EXPECTED JACK PLUGS OR AUDIO CONNECTIONS BUT IT WAS TWO DIN PLUGS, I ASUME I HAVE A KEYBOARD LEAD. I ALSO HAVE A EIGHT TRACK PORTA STUDIO THAT I WOULD LIKE TO RECORD ON AND THEN TRANSFER IT TO MY P.C TO GET IT ONTO C.D IF THIS IS POSS?

UA-30, Cubase, ASIO driver, all over again -- what's the current

The information on the web is all over the place on this -- what's the current status? Here's what I've been hearing. I need some straight answers to these questions -- please help if you know for sure :

Does the ASIO driver that comes with Cubase 5 work for the Roland UA-30 on PC? How about on Mac?

Or do I need to buy the $55 one that's being offered at www.usb-audio.com?
