need help with cd spin doctor

hi.
i would really like to know how i can separte a large mp3 into smaller ones with cd spin doctor, but then burn the cd as DISK-AT-ONCE so the whole mp3 will play through if i want it to (without 2 second skips).

if anyone knows how to do this, or any other way that might help please let me know.

all help is greatly appreciated.

hi,

Separate tracks in Spin Dr. as usual. Once you send the tacks to Toast, select all, click on the icon at the top of the column with the gap times, and select 0 sec. Good luck.

HELP! Cannot get single track CD's to play

I burned a CD with different songs from different CDs, and it will only play back on my PC, not any othere stereo or CD player. It works fine when I only burn one whole CD, the entire CD! why is it doing this?

it will only play on home or car audio if you finalize or "close" the disc.

when you burn a whole cd it automatically "closes" the disc. but when you do different songs from different cds it might no close the disc at all, or it probably is closing each session on the disc (meaning each set of tracks from one cd). there should be a way to leave the sessions open but i dont know what program you are using.

I just use an audio editor to do that. I use <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_2k/">Syntrillium's Cool Edit 2000</a>.

changing mp3 to .wav in Windows Millennium Edition using Winamp

I have Winamp installed, and my computer system is run in Microsoft Millennium Editon (MME).

When I look for the properties menu in the top left corner, it is not present.

I do have options/preferences... then no output.

Is Winamp compatible with MME with regards to changing mp3 files to .wav files.

If you really have a program that can remove vocals,
here's what you do.

1 Make one file of your recording with vocals.
2 Make another copy of the recording and process it,
so that you remove the vocals.
3 Load the file without vocals into a sound editor,
and INVERT the sound channel(s).
4 Save that file.
5 Now open up your old file with the vocals
and mix it at unity gain (with no volume changes)
precisely with the new file. This means adding
the left channel to the left channel, and the right
channel to the right channel. If you do it right,
there will be nothing left but the vocals.

How does it work ? Consider silence to be
zero. Everything else is either positive or
negative information. When you invert a sound,
you change the negative to positive, and the positive
to negative. zero stays as zero.

If your program is accurate, and your files
are totally exact copies, if you invert one,
and mix it with the other, you'll get silence
as the result. there may be a little noise left,
but there shouldn't be if the program was made right.
This is because +9 plus -9 = 0 (silence). All numbers
in the sound file work the same way. That's all a sound
file is: numbers.

Ok. Now if you take two files that are ALMOST
identical in content, then the only part that
doesn't get cancelled out is the part that is
different. In your case, it's the vocals.

I do this all of the time to cancel shit out.

I'm using Sound Forge 4.5 and Plug-in is called Vocal Remover. That makes sence a lot of sence and I'm gonna try it right now but I'll doubt that it will work since the software can't really remove vocals totaly. So when I invert it and mix it w/ the original sound it will cancel out some vocals also. But anyways LOGICAL GUY, good idea and it makes tons of sence but software is not good enough. I wish more people activly participated in these discussions like yourself. Thnx.

U can't really do it. To me it seems dumb that they create a software to remove vocals from the song and don't make it possible to save the vocals you just removed. Guess someone is gonna make millions on this idea!? lol

recording inputs for cubasis vst

If it is a zip file first you must extract the manual with winzip (www.winzip.com) or winrar (www.rarsoft.com). Then you can run and print the manual from the folder you extract. If your problem is with the printer sorry. You must supply more info.

I hate to be the dumb one but, can someone tell me if the MDs can be played and/or recorded using PC's floppy drive and if not is there a hardware piece that goes in to computer like a CD rom drive which uses regular audio tapes and can be controlled via a software application so the import/export can be done without having to connect several equipments.

Midi disappears with Win2000

I run Cubase5 with a SBlive and a USB Midisport2x2 midi interface and have recently upgraded to Win2000. The PC knows the USB device is there and it has the correct drivers and it auto detects it and so on... But for some reason I cant get access to either the Sblive or the the USB midi device when running Cubase and selecting the outputs.

When I run the SetupMME in the cubase directory it doesnt see the midi ins/outs of the SBlive and the USB ports. I'm using all the latest drivers but I think it is a Windows2000 problem.

Has anyone else seen a problem like this before, or could perhaps offer me any advice??

I think it is a Win2000 problem. I used Cakewalk Pro Audio on a Win95 and with my joystick/midi cable connected to the joy stick port of my Ensoniq soundcard, I used to transmit MIDI Data onto an external MIDI device by selected MIDI Out on the Cakewalk MIDI Devices sections. My PC was my sequencer (Cakewalk). Now, I can't seem to output MIDI with the same setup, only now I'm using Win2000.

Can anybody help us out? I'm trying to output MIDI data onto my Roland JV-1010.

The record industry is hungry for completely new talent. Why don't you try to just be Alicia, not Mariah... sure sounding like Mariah has made Mariah a lot of money, but there is only oom for one, and that is the original. Focus on the nuances of your OWN voice... strive to carve your OWN niche...
