How do you convert an .avi or .mov to .asf

to convert the dvd, you need to find an mpg encoder such as x-king mpeg encoder. However the compression rate of the dvd into mpeg will reduce the quality. However this convertor program will recognise the compressed and the video format of chs on the DVD

I found that line quite fuuny after the trouble I was having:)

Yes access from here to your site is now firmly established! It is a VERY good site with excellent graphics, downloads,reviews and background music. DnB is top.

I think the problem was with 'Active X'. I changed one of my security settings from 'prompt' to 'enable' after trying to access this new page twice and the browser was 'not responding' and had to be closed - now it's fine.

You are French? I am studying the French Revolution just now in University and there are two French guys in my class! France is a great country and I hope to live there oneday and get away from the terrible weather in Scotland!

My unit seems to be acting up. Line Input A stopped working and Line Input B has tremendous reverb that I can't get rid of.

I am using Cubase 5.0r1. Could that have something to do with the reverb problem?

Is this unit know for falling apart?

I have been reading about it recently and I was quite taken by it. I like the idea of utilising the USB port for all that information. The whole machine looks pretty usable and is a great way for people wanting to use something other than PCI cards to get 24bit sound, in and out of their computer and get themselves a small multi input mixing desk. The Midi ports, Instrument inputs, and Mic inputs are a bonus. The only critism I have at this stage is the fact that I don't think it has phantom powering for condensor microphones. To me, that would be a big bummer. To others it wont make a bit of difference.

Nice, clean sound through the USB ports... nice idea!!

Deleting WMA extensions

How do you delete a file with a WMA extension? The file was downloaded by my young son from WWF or napster, no one is real clear on that. But I am unable to remove the file from my HD. I also am not allowed to rename the file either nor can i use the del command at the DOS Prompt, any suggestions??

I also have one of these things! i downloaded a song from napster not nowing it wasnt a mp3 file and i cant deket this file!! help!!

use winamp to do it just select output to mp3
or diskwrite out function (towav) while you play
the files and it will convert it
remember to get mp3 codec to do that.
and pluygins to support mp3 output for your winamp
turn off the replay fuction...

For easy, go for ACID 2.0 (Pro). It is a loop-based studio with plenty of over-dubbing options to add your own vocals.

For more control, go Cubase 5: it has a lot more MIDI-based options: VST instruments, plug-in effects, samplers, up to 96 audio channels for multi-tracking.

Whenever i try to sign on, it says it cannot connect to the server. Can someone PLEASE help. I'm desperate thanks!!!!

you have 2 choices - midi or audio connection. With a midi lead (into your soundcards joystick port with a cheap lead you can send midi data to keyboard from a sequencer program or visa versa so using the keyboards sounds or soundcards sounds. With a standard audio lead from keyboard output to line/mic in of soundcard you can transfere all your tracks one by one into a sequencer on the PC for further manipulation, addition of more sounds and mixdown OK? So maybe you need to find a sequencer? Cubase VST 5 is the best there is but expensive. You can start off with something simple like Data Beckers Music Centre Pro (£35) which will handle audio + midi + allow a mixdown with 2 effects busses, 3 EQ built in wave editor and extensive midi manipulation via XG standard (need an XG soundcard) - check out sequencer demos and see what you like.

Converting for webtv
