CD from digital live tape

Hello,

I have a Sony digital tape recorder, with live performances of my playing, and would like to play this into my G4 and make a CD. I know how to connect the digital tape player to the G4, and have the appropriate connector, but cannot yet find the appropriate software to receive and record the music from the digital tape as a one track recording.

I know how to burn a CD. So the missing link for me is stated above.

If someone can help me with this, I would appreciate it.

I only know part of the song and I think its a christmas song because that is the only time i've heard it. There is a choir in it and part of the song is " on this very night". It has some really beautiful instrumental parts to it. Please help me with this>>

String Programs?

I am desperately trying to find software that contains some realistic string sounds...The most likely candidate seems to be Steinberg's Halion String Edition, but I don't want to shell out the 400 bucks to see if it's what I want.

Any other programs that give good results with string sounds, or is there a place to find a demo of Steinberg?

Atari die-hard

I know it's supposed to be possible but I can't fathom how to get my midifiles from Atari Notator format on to any PC format. The floppies just aren't inter-compatible no matter which way I reformat them! Or is there another way to convert/copy them? Please help. Cheers!

A great way of answering this kind of question is to use the lyrics in a google search. Just type in the words and add the word 'lyrics' to your search. It usually works.

I think I can help Geoff if nobody has by now ( Give it here, don't hold back now etc.). Song is called I Gotcha and the singer is Joe Tex. From way back. This guy was cool r&b, soul.
Now somebody help me,please. Song lyrics are mostly " Don't Stop Doing It, Baby". That's about all she says in this r&b belter - but she SAYS it - great, strong voice, a little unique. I think it's not so old. Heard it in a coffee shop. Any r&b experts out there?

transfer lecture recording from mini disks to cd

Can anyone tell me how I can copy/transfer recordings of lectures from mini disk (x 9) on to cd. If this is possible I would ideally like to transfer 9 tapes (1.5 hours each) on to one CD. The recordings are all voice taken via a microphone. The quality is quite good.
I want to be able to rewind (cant think of the proper term) the cd so if I miss a word, phrase, I can listen to it again (and again). Is this possible??
I would be extremelly grateful for any help. Please email.

mix down question - cubase sx

recently i've been working in cubase sx, i did my first mixdown but i cant get it to mixdown in stereo. the mix is in mono...why? what did i NOT do correctly. i know it mixed down to mono because many tracks were set at either hard left or hard right. HELP! & thanks

what you need to do iswhen you select the ausio to export and when it ask you to name the file
under the bottom you need to also set the file attribute ,stereo interleave 16 bit or 24 bit.

The song was performed by Deborah Allen. I found the 45 of it in a used record store several years ago. Cute little number; wish I'd seen the video.

seagate barracuda 120GB problems

I use cubase and a Tascam U-122 to record songs.
Everything works well when i store the vokal track on my original disk on my dell computer. But when I try to record the vokal track and stor it to my new barracuda disk, the vokal is very fuzzy with pauses, interruption. Any idea what this can be?
I havent done any settings for my new harddisk. No paging file. I hav 512MB memory.

converting songs to sheet music

I have been searching for a sheet music for a song title "Calliope House/The Cowboy Jig" and I could not find any. My kids play the violin and would like to play this song but i dont know where to turn to to convert this song into sheet music. This song is from Narada Collection and not a real popular one and very hard to find at sheet music website. Please advice. Thank you.

P4 2.8GHz locks up

I was running very stable on a Celeron 2.0GHz, but wanted better game proformence, so I "upgraded" to a Pentium 4 2.8GHz because it has a 512k chache, and a lil bit faster FSB. I am running windows XP, and ever since I "upgraded" it randomly locks up!!! I even tried reinstalling Windows, and the problem continues! I spent over $210 on this chip, and I dont want to give up. I know plently of people who run perfectly on P4's the same as mine. Is it because of my motherboard? If any one has suggestions PLEASE help me!
system config:
Shuttel AV42 Motherboard
Pentium 4 2.8GHz 512k, 533MHz
Radeon 7000 64Mb Video AGP 4x
512MB PC2700 RAM
Windows XP

I bought a P4 2.6 GHZ FSB 800 MHZ, 512 MB DDR400 WITH MSI 648F NEO AGP8X motherboard. Every time that i want to boot with the full speed the computer reboot just before the startup screen of WINDOWS XP. Is it because i use my old geForce 2 MX 32 MB SDRAM AGP4X ? But if i slown down the cpu speed like 1.95 GHZ everything boot correctly and i can run my games also, but never at full speed.

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

INTEL P4 2.6 GHZ FSB 800 MHZ
512 MB DDR400
GEFORCE 2 MX 200/400 AGP 4X
