emailing mp3 files

To whom it may concern,
i have several mp3 music clips downloaded and want to send them to a freind so he can convert them onto cds for me with a cdrewriter. i have sent the intire music folder to him but there are no music clips attached???
can anyone help me or tell me how this can be done??

Keep it simple. Email the files one at a time. Not as a folder. Secondly, you can make the CD yourself with hardware called a CD Burner. They're relatively cheap, so I'd recommend that instead of depending on others.

i want to email 1 mp3 file to a friend but cant even place it on the attachment box...the allowed size is 1.5MB...my file is only 1.2MB...can anyone help me about this? ....can i send it also in the Yahoo Messenger send file menu?

Playing Custom CD's On CD Player

Did you burn the files as WAV? Use Nero as it is easy to use and all you have to do is click the 'Burn Audio CD' button to make a stereo-ready disc.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I burned them as WAV files. I have another burner that lets me choose data or audio file.Will try this one.
I don't see a place where I have that choice on the one that I burned the last ones on.

There's also the possibility that your CD player can't read CD-Rs. Most of the recent models, and the more expensive older models usually can.

Have you tried the CD on any other CD players?

If any of you guys have a sec for a newbie question...

I am trying to get a handle on home studio recording:

Alesis QS8 keys
Decent PC with XP
Cubase VST or SX (about to buy)

My question is about sampled sounds...like keyboard or drum sounds available on the net or on CD's..

How will I get these sounds assigned to keys on my keyboard....like if I spend $5 and buy a piano sample from Wizoo....where is the process that converts it?

Do I need sampling software for this (like Acid or HALion) or does Cubase (or other recording software) handle this for me?

I am sure this is 1st grade logic....just new for me.

try downloading Anvil Studio from cnet.com, this gives an audio track on the demo. Otherwise buy Cakewalk Music Creater 2002.

You question isn't that clear. Do you want a program that can actually record your voice AND make music too, or just record your music into it as well as your voice?

if i was just starting out, i'd go for <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/SonicFoundryAcid/">Acid Xpress</a> and make songs from loops/samples. then i'd use a freeware audio editor like <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Audacity/">audacity</a> which can multi-track and use vst plug-ins.

The recording industry has to recognize that people aren't stupid or disempowered enough to accept the raw deal it has frequently offered artists and consumers. I'm sure some insiders are pretty cool people, but the decision-makers do not want to relinquish control or take risks that may or may not backfire. Basically, they're hung up on an old model of business which is pretty hierarchical.

You watch. When the majors' online music subscription services go under (I'm sure one will) - they'll blame P2P and not their own shonky products.

If the majors are worried about losing sales to P2P now - despite evidence supporting increased sales - then imagine the damage a global boycott of majors products could cause to the bottom line.

Just remember, music on CD or MP3 or tape is not an essential of life. It is a luxury compared to the fact that the bulk of the world's population doesn't have easy access to clean, running water.
