HELLO!! help is here, there is a way to convert .rm to .mp3, i've only just heard. It's a shareware program called Streambox Ripper. It can convert almost any type of sounds.

Roland Studio Pack
Does anyone own or have any experience(s) with the Roland Studio Pack, and how does it perform? Ease of use, ramifications, etc.?

I just returned the Roland VM3100 to the store for a refund. I wanted to use my cakewalk audio pro 9 to use with the roland system. Roland packs LOGIC software. Man! The box on LODGIC is 600 pages long. It is a tough program with a high learning curve. For my use I want something that works 100% with cakewalk. If you are willing to spend the time the roland system may be good. It is complicated.

Digital Editor for audio recording of a play
Hey! I'm producing an audio cd of a play.
I'm looking for a very simple program that would allow me to open a WAV file that I've recorded onto my hard disk, insert (not replace) sound fx and music at specific points and join two or more tracks to make a longer segment for recording onto CD I've tried Music Mixer, GoldWave, Audio Magic & Voyetra Digital Mixer and they are much too complex in addition to not allowing me to perfrom these simple ops. The little Sound Recorder that comes with Windows is perfect but can't handle large files. Could I increase it's capabilites with additional memory for my PC? Any info is helpful! Thanks!

People have different preferences with the types of software
they use to perform more or less the same tasks. The first
two programs that come to MY mind is cool edit and ACID.
with Cool edit, you'll achieve much better recording quality than
the standard recording program. With cool edit you can also
add fx, cut, paste, etc.. ACID, such as ACID pro 3.0 you can
then open all those recorded tracks in ACID whether they already
have Fx in them or not, u can add in ACID too, you
can insert and join different waves at any point in
time u like. U can loop it and thus make it longer.
It also has a very simple intuitive interface, so
those two programs should be more than enough
to do all that you are asking for in a simple manner.

5.1 Surround Sequencing
Does anyone know of any affordable 5.1 surround sequencing programs on the market? Any help would be appreciated
Cant record sound with Cubase 5 on Mac7500
Cant record or playback sound in Cubase 5.
Have an old Mac 7500 which I've upgraded with a G4 processor and a fast hard drive.
The built in sound card works in other programs.
Any suggestions?

I want to record our band using my think pad. I have a stereo input and a mic jack. I think I can get 3 tracks from this. I will be connecting to a Behringer eurodesk MX3282 board. any software suggestions special helps would be appreciated.

If you're just going into one input on your PC and you want to record everything live at once, just use an audio editor. <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_2k/">Cool Edit 2000</a> will do.

You're probably better sticking to CD-R, unless your CD player specifically states that it an read CD-RW discs. CD-RWs don't reflect the laser as well as CD-Rs, so many CD players can't read them.

CDRW, if the audio is not one of your collection. CDR, if otherwise.
CDRW, like tape, can be used for recording over & over but is a little
more pricey. CDR you can only record once but is less costly.

MIDI to Audio (time lapse on cubase)
I don't know if anyone is willing to help me here, but I have just started to convert some MIDI tracks that I have made and would like to mix them down to audio so I can use effects. Im using Cubase VST and Soundblaster Live Platinum. when I record what I hear there is a slight time delay going to the mixer and when I play the track back I get a time delay, how can I correct this? Someone please email me the answer as my music is waiting to be discovered :-)

: I would like to know how to burn Real Audio Files onto a CD; that is streaming or downloaded files on Real Audio;
If they are downloaded files in your HDD, just burn them as you'd do with regular data files if you want them to remain as rm files.
But this way, you can only play the CD in your 'puter. In order to play the CD in your CD Player, you need to convert the rm files
to wave files first then burn the wave files as audio CD using eg EasyCD Creator. One very handy tool to convert rm files to wave
files is Stream Ripper, but too bad after it is no longer openly available in the net following some copyright battles.
As to recording streaming audio, it's a little too complicated to explain if you are a 'puter novice.
An easier method to "convert" a rm file into a wave file is to launch the recorder software carried with Windows or your soundcard & record
the sound of the rm file when played into a wave file. This method is very time-consuming, though, also you cannot use the computer at the same
time otherwise you'll hear the mouse clicks in your recorded audio.
