I'm new at computers,only had mine for a year.I got an
old Cakewalk program loaded into my pc from a friend three weeks ago. So I don't have a manual.As far as I can tell,the markers function as repeat signs and codas and 1st and 2nd endings.So far I can only get them to mark off sections but not to go back to the beginning and jump to other sections and what not.

Is anyone familiar with FAQ's Audio Master laptop, recommended by Nemesys for use in recording, solving all the problems inherent in generic, consumer-grade laptops when used for such purposes? Also, "portable computers" are supposed to do the same. Which among them is best? Thanks!

AVI and Windows Media Player-problem

Hey!

Today I've tried to watch a video dowloaded from internet throught the Windows Media Player 7.1 and it has been impossible. It was an AVI and when I try to open it the program starts to look for a codec but then it fails and says hasn't found the video sequence to open the video. Can anyone tell me what's te problem?, cause I'm really crazy about it :)

Try the DivX4, the the latest codec, comes with the Playa player, that plays ANYTHING

It might've been encoded using a DIVX codec. You'll need to install the latest DIVX codec on your PC. Just google and you will find.

SR-16 / midi

I am running midi out of my SR-16 into my computers game port and running out of that into my SR-16 midi in. I can record and play back. All seems to work except I can not get any other sounds out of my sr-16 other than 2 snare sounds, 2 bass drum sounds, a few different tom tom sounds, and various percusion intruments. In audio I can get all 233 sounds on any pad. But in midi I am very limided.

In simple terms, I would like to have a wide selection of snare sounds, bass drum sounds and so on.

My referance manual for the sr-16 says that there is 120 accessible sounds via midi. How do I go about this???? I am running windows 98, cakewalk pro audio 8.

Personalized Music Sheets

I was wondering if anyone knew where or if personalized music sheets were available? My boyfriend is a musical marvel, and I'm trying to encourage him to write his own music! It'd be the perfect Christmas gift. I've looked EVERYWHERE! I'm not going to attempt making them by hand with use of calligraphy. Any feedback on this matter would be SO appreciated! Audio cards for PowerMac 9600

My PowMac 9600 has a G3 CPU.I want to change my Audiomedia 3 with,for ex Luna 2&PowSampler from Creamw.
These cards are several CPUs, so my CPU will not die.
My question is if these cards WILL WORK with 9600?
I don't know if the PCI version is OK for these cards.
Or, you have other ideas ? ( other cards )Need soon!!!

can i record songs or movies from dvd to vcd.i already recorded the songs from vcd to vcd.but it was not clear.which software is best for record the songs. i used the nti cd maker 2000 professional. songs are recorded. but some noise is there. what is the problem. is it the problem in cd? please reply me

YES YOU CAN FIND THEM ON KAZAA. YOU NEED TO GO TO THE DIGDESIGN WEB SITE AND GET THE NAMES OF THE KIND OF EFFECTS YOU WANT. THEN FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THEY SEND. IT USUALLY TELLS YOU YOU NEED TO UNZIP THE FILE INTO THE SHARED VST FILE.

Hi! I really love the old skool acid music and bleep music from the late 1988 - 1991. Does anyone know of any software that is built specifically to make this kind of music? I really would like to try and make some of this kind of music but dont know where to start. Any help appreciated.

bring on the goode times old skool is coming back 4 sure:))

All u need is ###fruityloops###. U maybe see the adds on this page if not go www.fruityloops.com and get out yer credit card. Full version is best as it has extended piano roll - essentially a playlist of notes. Once u got that go to http://www.kvr-vst.com/ and check out the free vsti synths which u can download + use in fruityloops. fruity comes with 2 synths but there are some terrific free ones out there mda jx10 for example. Fruity is THE best and the easiest to learn and the very fastest to use once u get into it. This is the best advice u will get all day. Have fun.

First, find a CD burning program that's compatible with XP, then follow the instructions that come with it. I can't be any more detailed because the exact process differs from one prog to another. Easy CD Creator or Nero are probably the most common.

Convert it to a WAV file (CDex), then use an audio editor (Cool Edit) to cut the last hour off. Save what's left (using a new name). Reload the original file, cut off the first hour, and seve this as the second part. Then write each to a CD (Easy CD Creator, Nero).

You could do this using an editor that can handle MP3 direct, but you'll have to convert it to WAV at some stage. If you're short of memory, this is probably the way to go.

Suitable software can be found in the software section.

Hi. There are many good ones. There's
Cakewalk Audio Pro 9.0, Sonar, ACID Pro, Quartz,
Protools, Cubase, etc... The easiest and best that I
found espeiclaly if you are new to multitrack software
to begin with is ACID Pro. They have the loop
based technology that makes mixing and laying
the tracks as easy as painting and erasing. So,
I suggest ACID Pro 3.0 by Sonic Foundry.

Umm. As a memeber of Johnny Cash's band, I recommend Shiver 4.8. This software not only sounds great and is easy to use, but it writes the hits for you! How else can you explain N'Sync?
