720 ms latency...something wrong!!!

I have just installed cubase vst32 and try to record with my soundblaster platinum.I enable to record one track and then in my phones i heard first the sound i want to rec and then after a second i heard it another time!!!!
Can you help me?????

options>audio setup in cubase then see if u can change the driver to an ASIO or DirectX one. If none there go to cubase driver setup from start menu + look to see if any such drivers are installed but not enabled.

Hello,

I used cwclite 1.0 for years but recently bought a new computer. This one doe not work with cwclite, according to the help it only works with my old soundblaster and that i need cakewalk professional 1.0. Can anybody tell me where I can get this version of cakewalk, I don`t want a newer version because I don`t like the way they work with clips.

I recently bought a BR-8 recorder and already own a zipdisk. There was a letter written almost the same way in early november, but i basically found the response to be gibberish. If somekindhearted soul could tell me how to convert a VR8 File to a Wav file so that i could burn them onto cd's i would appreciate it. If at all necessary which cable would i need to connect the mixer directly to my computer and be able to burn cd's im fairly new at this and im having some trouble. Thanks.

I am not familiar with the vr8 or the br8, but can you play the
vr8 file atleast in your machine. If you can PLAY the file, then
I think there's a solution to convert it, if you can't play, then

Using samples from MTV Music Generator?

I just picked up MTV Music Generator for the PC from Best Buy for $10 today. It supposedly has about 1300 'riffs', most, if not all of them at 44 KHz. And the reviews on the net tend to say that the sound is good. This meant to me that there are likely some .wavs tucked away on the disk. I'm always looking for off-the-wall samples. I was hoping to directly take them off and use them in a more professional sampler/sequencer.

But they seem to be tucked away in a CAB file, which I can't pry open with WinZip because it's not in standard format. It looks like there are over 200 MB of samples in there somewhere and I want them. Any thoughts or experience on this?

It looks like you can pull each sample out and create a song that consists of nothing but that sample, and then save it to WAV, and probably open and deal with it in your sequencer or wave editor, but that sounds really painstaking.

Have not found any free convertors
But if you are in a hurry try Jet Audio, its an old prog, but works with XP, just play the midi and record into either wave or mp3 format.

Soundforge saving using MP3

My problem is in Soundforge 4.5: when I save a loop with the MP3 codec I end up having a slight amount of silence inserted at the beginning of the files.

I've gone through the "preferences" options and ticked the "Offset markers/regions when saving using MPEG Layer 3", which is supposed to shift all markers and regions to compensate for this delay when saving but this doesn't work. I still got the same amount of silence hence ruining my loop cos' I can't stream it with this goddam break.

Please help me.

.ace files are zipped files. You'll have to unzip it first.

Try the section of this site called mp3machine (www.mp3machine.com) and look under DECODERS. I use HPL Decoder. It's free and fast and has a great GUI and you can do batch conversion.

How to copy from real player to cdr?

I cant get any midi through in cubase. I've got a midisport 2x2 interface, connected to my apple mac g4, when running cubase the midi light is constantly on. All the cables are connected right but when i go into studio setup it says the midisport cannot be found yet i have kept reinstalling it. But i can choose the midisport on the normal page ie where you can choose, cubase, quicktime etc.. to run the midi through. I hope this makes sense, can anyone help??

Hi... this more than a follow up is a question, i just bougth a Kawai DRP-10 and i don't have a clue about sequencers at all i just boutgh it to learn but i find really hard to make a even a litlle song can't find my way to edit what i record or record in a song in parts if anyone can help at least with the basics i will be more than thank full, if there's any help please mail me thank you.

Cubasis VST+Sound Blaster Platinum

I cannot effect the mixdown of more that two stereo audio tracks. If I try with more tracks, it starts effecting the mixdown for some seconds, then it blocks up the system. Why?
Is there any solution to this problem?
My PC system: - Athlon 1 Ghz
- Sound Blaster Platinum 5.1
- Cubasis VST
- RAM 256 Mb
- HD IBM 30 Gb, 7200 rpm
- Windows Millenium Edition

It cos you have an athlon and are using cubasis, get an intel and use vst or nuendo
