Errors while burning a CD

I have a Yamaha Cd burner,I have down loaded songs from Napster and recorded two CD's with no problem.The songs were in MP3 form,they play in my home and auto CD players.When I tried to burn a third CD,it keeps locking up my cpmputer or canceling the recording and coming up with errors.What am I doing wrong?Also,I downloaded Winamp to try to convert the MP3 to Wav,but I can't figure out how to do it.I hope someone can help me??Thanks in advance for any advise!!!

If you look on the freeware/shareware sites there are a few mp3 to wave coverters.

You can use the free download software SCMPX, with this soft you can trabsform Audio to mp3 and mp3 to audio and one way you can find it is in www.google.com and type SCMPX in the search file

You can download StreamBox VCR from here

This program lets you download RA files from PNM servers. It is very easy to use.

1. Download the initial RA file, this should be on 3-4kb and have and extension of RAM. Just right click the RA link and do a "Save Targat As".

2. Highlight the RAM file, hold down the SHIFT key and right click. Find OPEN WITH and then select NOTEPAD from the list.

3. When NOTEPAD comes up, you should see PTSP://blah.blah.RM and PNM://blah.blah.RM
Simply COPY the PNM://blah.blah.RM line.

4. Open StreamBox VCR and go to EDIT, then PASTE LINK. It'll ask you where you want to save the RA file. There you're done.

5. If you want to do multiple downloads at once and don't feel like pasting all your PNM:// urls, there's a little shortcut. Make a new TXT file with NOTEPAD and just past url after url in that TXT file.

Example:
PNM://blah.blah.rm
PNM://yada.yada.rm
PNM://xxxx.xxxx.rm

You get the idea. When you open StreamBox VCR this time, go to FILE and then OPEN. Select the new TXT file you've just created and open it. You just setted up a download session for yourself.

6. One word of advice, StreamBox VCR downloads in real time, which means if you're downloading an 8 hour music set, it's going to take 8 hours or even longer for modem users. Fast connections like Cable, DSL, T1/T3 download at the RA file's full stream, which means if the sound quality is 30kb/sec, StreamBox VCR is going to be downloading at 30kb/sec.

7. StreamBox VCR is known to crash the computer when doing mutilple simultaneous downloads.

Finding software that plays on a schedule

Hi!

I'm looking for CD Player software which will enable me to program the playing of different selections at different times. Specifically, I have carillon selections to play through church tower speakers at noon and 6:00 PM on week days, and a different schedule on weekends. Will any software enable me to do this? Do know where I might look for such a thing?

Drum machine

Hi... what is the best drum machine software out there? And how does this stuff interface with PC home recording software? The last time I did any recording was about 5 years ago on an 8-Track using a stand-alone drum machine so it was pretty straight forward at that time.

'Best drum machine software' is a really tough question because what's best for you may not be the best for me.

Try the <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/DRUMS_PERCUSSION/">Drums</a> category of the site. But here's what I've found to be useful over the last couple of years. I play drums and like to program tough beats and grooves which I can learn to play on a real kit at a later date.

I recently learned about SoundFonts and I discovered that my sound card, a Creative (actually Ensoniq) Sound Blaster PCI 64, cannot use them.

Is there any software that can convert SoundFonts to the rare and unsupported bank format of the PCI 64, or the Gravis format used by Timidity++?
Is there any software that can use SoundFonts for synthesis (without hardware support)? Timidity++ claims to be able to load SoundFonts, but there is no adequate documentation.

If you have a Mac, there's a nice little piece of freeware called Coaster that'll record analog to AIFF ( and a couple of other formats, I think ). AIFFs are easily recordable to CD and are compatable with most audio programs. Music Machine also has a freeware AIFF-to-MP3 drop converter.

Hi, you need transform your mp3 file to WAV file, SCMPX is a free download software you can use to transform Audio to mp3, mp3 to audio, play mp3 and audio and one way you can find it www.mp3.google.com and type scmpx in the search file

I just purchased the Fruityloops Pro for 70.00; however, when I try to export or save songs using instruments in the TS bank, I get the message that it "ts 404 registration needs to be rendered." My question is, how do I go about this, and does it cost even more money? Thanks for help!
