home recording of live music onto cd's
Posted by Brian Maccprmack on Wed, 10/25/00 - 13:23:36.
i am currently in a four piece band. We have started to write some of our own songs and lyrics. I have a reasonably fast computer (200mhz and a hewlert pacard cd re writer) I was wondering if you know if i can record live music onto a cd using my cd-writer and a microphone. I have some basic music software but i was wondering what would be the best program. Is it possible to record the bass, guitar, drums, and vocals seperatly and then mix them just using my home computer? Any infirmation in these matteres would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

What your after is a Multi Track recorder.
It will give you the ability to record your
instruments on different tracks then mix it
down to burn to CD.
