I was wondering what programs can remove instruments from mp3s and leaving the vocals and vice-versa???

Voice removal plug-ins...not great

I know of voice removing direct-x plugins which are not very successful. It is a very difficult thing to achieve once the recording has been mixed. I don't know of any that remove the backing! They usually rely on the vocals being central in the mix and try and filter out the voice frequencies in that area. If you knew vocals/backing were on separate channels.....easy but no-one I know does that.

Hi there,

You won't have any real success in achieving this consistently. You can try going from MP3 --> WAV and then using a program to remove vocals.

Try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/VocalRemover_WinAmp/">AnalogX Vocal Remover</a> for Winamp.
