transfering from mini disk to PC

Howdy;
I've recently started transfering music from old rehearsal cassette tapes into minidisks.However when i try to transfer it into my pc ( i have the provided sonic stage syst.)an error keeps occuring.I have tried changing the format in the transfer section as LP2 ect, but it just won't be accepted. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated..

I use winmx occasionally and can burn cds from downloaded tracks but cant play them on anything other than my computer, it doesnt seem to be the CD-Rs I am using as I can burn pre recorded CDs with no problem and use them in other players can anyone help?

M1 midi help!!!

I have a Korg M1 from years ago that I used to write music along with the Vision program on a Mac. Now, 15 years later, I want to get those songs up and running again. I have the keyboard on, the midi in but I have forgotten how to set the keyboard up!!! ARGH!!! I don't have my M1 manual and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what I did to get the keyboard to read what it needs to do from the computer.
I get sound from the kepboard and the computer programs are running but the keyboard isn't reading it. Do I go into COMBI or SEQ? I'm confused!!!!

I received a M1 a few feeks ago and have the manual in PDF file format if you are interested ( 5 files of about 2 MB). I'm new to midi and all that staff so I can't tell you how to do, but we can make a deal, I send you the manual per mail and you give me some hints on how to configure midi, what do you think ? :-)

Usually one of three things in my experience...

1. Cheap CD's or not Audio CD's.

2. Crap CD burner.. Usually associated with cheap PeeCee's...

3. Old CD machines with weak lasers like - ghetto blasters, car CD players and portables..

Best bet is to get some decent CDR's or audio specified CDR's and burn them on slow speeds.. If you want it to work, you may have to wait a little longer.. :D

MIDI for Lowery Organs

Can anyone tell me something about the MIDI capability of the Lowery MX-2 Theatre Organ? The technical support people at Lowery cannot give me a description of this MIDI, which dates back to 1991. I have an MX-2 Theatre Organ and would like to take the music I play and convertit to the MIDI I have in my Windows XP. Can I just feed the audio output of the organ into my computer and convert the audio to MIDI format for storage and replay purposes? If so, How can I do it?

Choose File / Render as, click on the drop down menu arrow at "save file as" and select *.mp3, choose desired bitrate + the folder where you want it be kept and click save.

Same process for wave but choose *.wav on drop down menu

multi-client MIDI drivers

I need a MIDI interface card with a driver that allows two or more programs (e.g., a librarian and a sequencer) to access a MIDI port simultaneously (or nearly so). These are called "multi-client". So far I've only found pro-level sound cards which say they can do this (Creative cards don't seem to). Any ideas?

digital keyboard and disk playback problems

Hello! I compose my own songs and also sound files for the web. Would anyonw who has some experience with a Kurzweil Mark 12/152 know the answer to this one: I tried saving one of them to disk as a MIDI 0 file (as instructed) and then play it back from the disk. Either it will not play at all or if it does the sounds are quite distorted. I do have the latest OS installed, 2.10. However if I load the song into the recorder it plays back fine just as I recorded it. I had NO problem doing this with a Clavinova. The songs always played back perfectly and I could upload the MIDI files that were then succesfully converted to WAV for the web. Audio might be best but at this time I do not have this capability. THANKS

Notation Software. Newbie needs help.

I need help, there's s much software out there I could die of old age before I find something which does what I need.

I want to be able to input music via a MIDI keyboard and then transpose the whole lot up/down by tones or semitones and then print it out.

The need is driven by me stating a jazz group. I want to take the basics of the tune (dots and chords) and then transpose it to where my voice is. Then further transpose for the instruments which are in different keys.

i need the software disk to install the program for the sony rio 600 mp3 player. I have the rio and have had it for years but my old computer was ruined. Now, i have the rio but can not download music. I do not have the usb attachment nor the program to reinstall on my current computer. does anyone know how or where i can get the software so that i may download music to the rio?
