Heya guys ,
I have purchased a audio software and i just wanna share this with you . I got Virtuosa Gold (Phoenix Edition) form www.smartdownloads.net and they just delivered it to about 2 minutes after i have done my purchase (very cool site).
So , about Virtuosa ... this soft can play any kind of audio and video file, can mix audio files, can burn a CD (works cool!) has a playlist creation tool , a tag option and many more . Overall it`s the best software money can buy ...
You can try and download a copy or buy it go to smartdownloads.net for more info (they have a link on their front page..a link to virtuosa homepage) .

hi,
Maybe you can try the software named WinAVI Video Converter http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm . It is a complete solution for video file converting and burning. It can convert avi to dvd in 60 minutes and mpg to dvd in 15 minutes with stunning video quality. Good luck!
Re: Converting MPG/AVI to DVD???

Dear Rimmer
You use Mac software to "rip" Divx to DVD but wich software do you use, because i can find no way to do the job, i have tried many different programs and none works.
If you could tell me it would be much apreciated.
Thanks in advance

Converting to Wav
Hello there, I have a little problem.. I have noticed from time to time Wav files of songs by a vertiety of artists. These files tend to be great qulaity and only about 4-5MB a piece.. ..I recently attempted to convert a file myself from Both MP3 and CD Track to Wav, the song REdeemer fromt he queen of the damned soundtrack, but every time I do it ends up beign 30-40MB... How can I get it down to a smaller file size so I can use it as background music on my homepage?... OR where can I find a pre-converted copy of the song?.. Please help me...
Re: Converting to Wav
Buddy, that's the thing about WAV files. Uncompressed audio. They are that size and you're not getting them any smaller unless you are into advanced methods that even I don't particularly know about. Sorry to break it to you.
Re: Converting to Wav
If you convert to a stereo, 16-bit, 44.1 khz WAV (the standard) then expect around 10 MB for each minute of audio. You can always reduce the source material to mono, 8-bit, 22khz and save a lot of space but you will end up with a lesser-sounding file.
Using music on a web page is a bit gaudy these days. Not everyone likes having their speakers speak up when they view a page. Maybe you should look for a MIDI version of the song you're after and use that instead. It will load a lot quicker, even if it does sound a bit lame.
But, to be honest, I'd forget about background music on a page.

There is also the problem of copyright. Since you didn't write the music, you have no right to use it on you website without first obtaining the copyright owners permission.

Logic audio,Yamaha AN200, Midiman Keystation 61, Audiophile 2496
Yo, I'm new to the game, and I'm having some trouble configuring my system. I'm running Windows Me. I can't seem to get the an200 and the keystation to produce sound at the same time.
Q - Do I need additional equipment?
Q - Do I need different equipment?
Q - Do I need to sell the works and take up golf?
All legit responses are greatly appreciated.

Re: remove vocals from a song
Not that i have seen. I think the problem is the complexity of the job in hand. I doubt we will see much for some time. There again, nothing surprises me these days.

I'm not aware of any software out, but there are a few hardware devises that do this. Namely the PSD300 by superscope. It will reduce the lead vocals in much the way the Roland VS recorders do it, but isolating the "vocal frequency's in the center channel. You would think that someone would do that has a software plug-in or program.
Clueless about burning CDs
I need help - because I'm clueless.
I want to copy selected songs from CDs to create my own CD that is usable in a stereo, not just on my computer. I haven't a clue what MP3s, WAVs, etc. are, but I suspect they are files that are only usable on the computer. Can anyone give me an idiot's guide to what the various types of files are and what files I need to create to make a CD usable on stereos.
Just to complicate things a bit more, I want to also be able to edit a few of the songs (cut some parts of the songs out). Are there are programs that will allow me to do this, again I want the CDs usable in stereos.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
Re: Clueless about burning CDs
Wav is an abbreviation of Wave as in, a sine wave. It's an uncompressed audio sample. Mp3 is a compressed version of a wave file and is around a tenth the size of the original. What you gain in size, you lose in quality although Mp3 is still pretty impressive.
You can burn a CD from most formats these days although Mp3's will always sound the same as they do when they are compressed. If you rip, NeVeR rip to Mp3 before burning to a CD as you will needlessly lose quality. For the CD to play in a normal CD player, it has to be uncompressed so burning a CD from an Mp3 file will require the software to uncompress it again.
If I were you, I would get your CD burning together first as audio editing is a different kettle of fish altogether.
Regards
Rimmer

Where do I go to get music to burn on the net ?????????
Re: Clueless about burning CDs
First of all, you will need a ripper to take the music from the CD and host it on your hard drive. CDex is a very good ripper. Rip the songs you want to WAV format. The use a CD Burning program such as Nero to burn the CD. The program has a wizard which will make it very easy for you to burn an audio CD. If you want to edit the songs you've ripped, you'll need to get hold of an audio editor such as Cool Edit 2000, Audacity or Sound Forge XP. Learn how to rip, then burn. Editing it a bit fiddly, so work on that last.

mpga to mp3
I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any great software for converting mpga files to mp3s?
solution to conversion of mpga to mp3
:This conversion can be made if you have a CD recorder (CD burner) and windows media player 8. Put the music.mpga to play in windows media player 8. Click in Copy to... Put a CD-RW no CD recorder e click in copy music (bottom on top right). The music is transfered to CD in audio CD format. After this, use a CD ripper (I use NeoAudio) and copy the music in format mp3 (covert CD track to mpeg file in NeoAudio). The music in CD-RW can be erased.
Re: mpga to mp3
