im trying to wade through the thousands of programs on here to find a suitable one. I need a program that records to WAV and then has the ability to insert track markings without inserting a gap in the music, so i can then burn the file to cdr.

any help would be much appreciated

Ok I know what your trying to achieve, you need CDRWIN and optionally CDRcue Cue Sheet editor. First record the mix as one great big WAV and burn it to CD ( yes I am aware that that is exactly the same thing as you have been doing) but now you can use your CD player to work out where the tracks should be in seconds. Then create a CueSheet along the lines of the following using notepad or CDRCueSheet:

FILE C:\jumbo.wav WAVE
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TITLE jumbo
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 03:16:28
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 01 06:03:04
TRACK 04 AUDIO
INDEX 01 07:46:01

inserting index points at the appropriate times. Then use this cuesheet to burn the final CD with the tracks in place. I know this probably isn't the easiest solution but its the one I thought of when I needed to do it. Hope you find this of some use, good luck Dave.

I do not understand you question as stated, so am going to try restating it....

I need a program that records to .wav format.
record what? Music being played through your sound card, or recording from a turntable/amp?

Alternatively, are you ripping from the CD you purchased, and want to just make an archival copy of that CD. If you read your, CD R/W software instruction or help files, they will provide you with, a number of options to record. (Write Method—Disc-at-Once or Track-at-Once (Double-click this field to change between DAO and TAO)

Either in MP3 or wave formats, If your files are in MP3 format then you just need a converter.. I use CDex http://www.cdex.n3.net/

If you are recording from previously purchased music, Cassette, or LP then I would suggest LP recorder, and LP Ripper, to accomplish what you are trying to do. Since CD R cost about 18 cents you might want to look at converting a long file or joining several MP3 together and then converting this file to a wave. Trying not to exceed the 74 or 80 minute playtime… depending on your burner’s capabilities.

You'll need a program like <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TotalRecorder/">Total Recorder</a> and save it as a WAV.

I have all five disks I bought originally but my disk 5 gives an error message maybe we can swap somehow.

To edit mastertrack, goto Edit->Mastertrack!

Here you enter list values for your desired tempo changes.

After doing this, make sure you enable MATSER on the transport bar or it wont make a bit of difference!! (Youll stay at the tempo setting on the transport bar)

I need to create a program for a local hotel in order to process its customer billing. It has the following nightly charges 1 night £20, up to 7 nights £17, up to 14 nights £14, over 14 nights £11.50. When the guests book out their bill is calculated accordingly to these prices.

In addition any extras such as telephone bill, meals, bar tab are added to the total to give the final total.

VAT at 17.5% should be added to the final total.

The option is the given of displaying the bill details, then the option to process another customer.

Guest names and addresses are NOT shown on the bill just the customer number which is consecutive.

Periodically or at the close of the program/day, cumulatve totals for the net, gross and VAT amounts which can be used in the manual accountancy system are displayed or reported.

Anyone who can help me with this operation, please get in touch.

There are a couple of ways but you have to understand the concept of compressing massive amounts of data in real time..

Converting real time (24-29.9 frames per second) video is a massive task. Computers have always relied on MPEG hardware to compress that amount of data in real time. I am still not convinced there are that many CPU's around that can compress that many frames in real time.

If you want the full quality playback in full screen, you should consider a sensible video inport card or rely on the power of a DV video camera to do it for you. All you need then is a FireWire DV interface and you will have flawless full screen video..

There maybe USB options but I doubt you will achieve all the frames. Hardware video MPEG compression card... Or preferably DV cam...

I was wondering how to seperate 1 long MP3, such as a full album, into multiple MP3's being individual tracks. Is there a way to do this without converting to a .WAV file and then editing? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have ACID, but you cannot open MP3's in acid. Iss there another editor out there where you can manipulate MP3 files, not .wav's
