Sound Forge in Linux

Thanks for that link, but i suppose i'm really asking, has anybody tried these programs, and got a feel for one or more that they feel is as versatile as sound forge?
Many of those programs seem to be the result of open source collaborative projects, so they are ongoing stuff, with bugs et cetera (i mean that's fantastic, that the scene is so healthy) but does anyone know of a program that can boast a sort of "finished" feel? short of downloading <b>all</b> that stuff and installing it all, i have no real way of finding out.
Most of that list seem to have suspiciously small sizes too, which suggests that the programs may not have a lot of functions et cetera.
One of the main things i'm looking for is something for which extra effects et cetera will be made available at some point to enhance the program's capabilities.
Anyway, i'm not whingeing, that all looks like good stuff on that list there, just wondering if you had tried any of it and what you recommended...
