How can I save STREAMING WMA files from the internet onto my com
Is was wondering if there is a way to save these streaming WMA files to my computer so I wouldn't have to be on the internet to listen to them.

Since this is a commercial program, there shouldn't be any websites where you can download this, except maybe from Roxio's website.

Never works
To whom it may concern:
I installed a Nero CD burning rom in my computer over a year ago. IT NEVER WORKS!!! I have had nothing but problems with it. I am ready to rip the thing out of my computer and demand a refund. It will not make copies of the cds i want, and will not burn other ones. I now use my roommates computer which works everytime. I am very frustrated! Please help, before I go insane!

Maya Sound Card
I am working on putting together a PC studio at home, since I have started with a SoundBlaster Live sound card I've had no success in getting things functional.
I have found this Maya Sound card and wondered if it is as good as they say it is?

One of the MOST important considerations when putting together a pc studio is drivers. Drivers are small programs that allow your hardware to "talk to" your other software such as your main sequencing and/or multitrack program. It's very important for the drivers to be compatible with your hardware AND software. So to answer your question, what kind of drivers are available for the Maya card and does your software support these drivers. I think the Maya is an ok card but I would study a little before I bought anything.

What successes have people had in installing and using multi-track recording software on Windows XP?

Experiences seem to be different from one to another. I've been told that none old programm works with XP (Rebirth, Cubase, Sonar, etc...)...
But Rebirth seems to work on my XP. Cubase is installed, and may be opened, but i still haven't used it yet.
I'm looking for the same information as you : DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND SOFTS THAT WORK ON XP????????

I need help Bad
I got the latest version of the win media player. It has the adaptec plug in to burn cd's but every time i go to my playlist hit copy to cd it tells me no recorder deteched i just bought a sony cd-rw recorder do i need another program to burn cds because all my music is saved on my media player it wont even work with the sony cd xtreme disk i try to load my files threw there it tells my that its not in microsoft audio format or the files are damaged but my media player plays fine i can only record disk to disk how can i record music from my media player with the plug in thats with 7.1 media player why isn't it deteching my burner help me please!!!!!!

First, you are confused about what you are using Win Media player for. Win Media Player is but another of many audio and video players out there. Second, I wouldn't even try to burn CD's with it or set the CD writer in the Win Media Player options (I wouldn't know because I use Win Media 6 because of its looping effect which was removed from the newer versions.) Third, your CD writer had to have come with it's burning software, be it Easy CD Creator or Nero. P.S. In order to make an audio CD the sound files need to be in WAV format which is automatically done by ripping software like Easy Audio Copy which is free and considered the best. So, if you are able to copy CD to CD then you must have burning software.

which program?
i'm pretty new to producing dance music and am thinking of getting micrologic, sonar or logic audio silver...
i'll probably be using a lot of samples plus a midi keyboard.. at first it was logic hands down but now i see sonar has nice features in regard to samples /loops e.g audition, auto beat matching every sound sample to the same bpm.
any advice on which one to choose?
converting from reel to reel tape recorder to cd
I am copying some 45year old reel to reel tape recordings on to cd via my hard disk 40gig these are mainly family mementoes so I do not need high quality super duper software BUT the player i have is not the original and does not play the tapes at the exact original speed is there any software that will allow me to ajust the speed of playback after I have recorded to my hard disk so that I can edit them and correct the speed difference, thanks

I use Cakewalk Home studio through a SB Live soundcard. I have plenty of RAM, and my computer's been able to record no probs before. However, sinse I reformatted my computer I cannot record audio without my MIDI jumping about in timing all over the place - any suggestions as to how to solve this??? anyone???

i have a soundblaster live soundcard and record MIDIs with cakewalk as well. i also make wavs from midis too. i have not had a problem with it at all though. email me at bw_me99@yahoo.com and tell me more details if you want.
My suggestions are to:
-try a different wav recorder
-reinstall software
-update drivers
-call cakewalk or SB tech support

someone out there could help me... just bought a new comp with the intent of being able to record music from my own instruments. must be multitrack. i have a turtle beach santa cruz sound card, windows xp, 256 mg ram, and pentium 4 processor. what other hardware/software do i need?

The program will convert to wave for you. Make sure you are in song mode not pattern. Select from the file menu-export loop as audio file-choose a location for the file and click save. To convert to mp3 you need something like Cool Edit-open the wave file then choose save as in the file menu and select mp3.

Cleaning up Recordings
I have some home made audio tapes that I am converting to digital. There is quite a bit of hissing from the poor quality recording equipment. Is there an easy way to remove the hiss. I use a Mac, so I need to be able to use the software on my system. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the add on that gives mp3 capability. If you do have it maybe it did'nt install correctly.

i have a problem.I have some long dj mixes on my comp,but if i want to hear a part in the middle,i havce to forward al the time cause it has'nt been split in number(like a cd)
does anyone know how i can do that?

Use Nero software when burning your to CD's. With Nero you are able to create tracks and remove the 2 second gap in between the tracks so it is one continuous mix but with tracks.
Now, for mixes specifically on your hard drive there is no way of breaking them into "tracks". The only way is breaking up the WAV file into separate WAV files with WAV editor like Goldwave. (Goldwave.com).
Now, mp3's and Realplayer are not doable. Unless you convert them into WAV files, break them up (with editor) and convert back into MP3 or Realplayer. Then again, they will be separate files.

I want a program that will take a audio file, loop, song, etc and explode it into many audio files, samples, loops, etc.. For example I record a guitar piece, load it into the program, set the break points, and break the piece down into separate wav files with the push of a button! If such an application already exists please tell me.
