Our school received a donated Gateway P5/120. It has a conflict with the soundcard. I took the following information from the card, but I can't seem to find a driver that will work. Any help would be appreciated.

Without knowing any of the specifics about the CD
you bought the best suggestion would be to try to
play it in both a regular CD player and a computer
and see what happens - if you still have questions
try asking the store you bought it from.

Yes. Use <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TotalRecorder/">Total Recorder</a>. This is a 'virtual' soundcard
that take the audio signal, splits it into two paths,
and sends one to the soundcard and out your speakers,
and the other records a WAV file on your hard disk
while the audio is playing.

Different people have different opinions on this
but my preference, unless there is an absolute
need, is to record the vocals without any EQ and
then apply EQ later.

If you have to apply EQ before recording then I
would generally prefer to place the compressor
before the EQ.

Okay...It's very easy to convert them to mp3
In real jukebox, go to "Tools" --->"Preferences"---->"Audio Quality"
At the bottom of the window, you will see "Secure Files"
The box must be blank. Then you will get an message. You must accept the conditions. Then all your files will never be recorded in .rmx but in .mp3. Go to "All Tracks" or search for your files in real jukebox, and then selct all that have the .rmx format. Then go to "File", "Convert tracks..." There the format must be MP3. Quality must be 128kBps. You have the option to erase your old files, but if you don't trust me, don't do it, although I have done it. But don't get your old files get mixed up with your new files.

You can use <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/LPRipper/">LP Ripper</a> to record you vinyl to your
PC, then use <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/DePopper/">DePopper</a> if you need to get rid of
noises caused by stratches and general wear and
tear, then you can make a CD using a program like
<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/musicmatch_beta/">MusicMatch Jukebox</a>.

sorry i dont beleive one exists! if it did, it would cost a lot of money for a program to be able to detect each note and score it into a MIDI file.

if you are good with music you can notate it yourself by getting CakeWalk software.
