Use the free version which Sonic Foundry nicely give called Acid Xpress. Or

Get a job if you're broke! Because piracy will get sofware companies broke too and that will suck.

What he meant to say is CAN SOMEONE REFER TO HIM WHERE TO FIND A HACK OR SOMETHING!!! But some stupid people like you don't know that, and instead play a smart ass by saying get a job. Listen to look for Acid Pro 3.0 take a look at Kazzaa Morpheous or any other sharing software program. Hope that helps...

sound fonts (?)

does anybody know how to use a sound font? i just got the SFPack, but i still can't use the moog sound font.

SFPack is a encoder/decoder type of program not a player just like winzip.
If you need to use soundfonts you either need a compatible soundcard like SBlive, AWE64 etc..
Or you can use a VST plug in called Bizmark that loads soudfonts.
There's also Volksampler that does that.
Unity DS1 a soft sampler by bitheadz does that too.
I will advise you to take a look at Soundfont.com
to get some basics on how sounfonts work.
It's just a sample format like the Akai format so you do need a special device or software to read them.

ok, i don't know the artist or the song title, all i know is the chorus of the song which goes "if i sigh then i'm halfway to science, if i try, then i'm halfway to triumph, i'm alive, but i'm halfway to dying, i'm laughing but i'm halfway to crying," it's somewhere in between rock, punk, and ska. i heard it on the radio, and it sounded really familiar, and i really liked it and i'd like to find it and other songs by the artist... if anyone has any input, i'd appreciate it! thanks.....

Probably because you've provided such little information.

There are numerous reasons why you can get this problem. Unless
you're a bit more specific, it's difficult to point to the problem.

Have you checked : that the CD-ROM audio cable is attached properly?
the volume setting is okay?
you haven't muted the audio?
you've got the right connector on the sound card?
can you hear the CD through headphones plugged into the CD-ROM?

The list goes on...

Ok, I'm a dork. I had Napster, donwloaded about 300 songs, have found it increasingly hard to get songs from Napster now and deleted my Napster files. Problem is, now I can't play any of my Napster files b/c they are m3u's. Anyone know how I can change the file type to mpeg,wav, anything else so I can listen to them again?

It's unlikely that they are m3u's. Just try changing the file extension to MP3 and see what happens.

I have the same problem and tried changing them to mp3 and it doesn't work...they are truly a m3u file...is there a conversion program for them?

I Have M3U and can play them but can't record them, how do I convert M3U to wav or MP3 to record??????
Downloaded MUSICMATCH/REALPLAYER/WINDOWSMEDIAPLAYER----
NEITHER OF THESE CAN CONVERT M3U'S TO WAV OR MP3.

Use RealJukebox and connect Audio machine to Line In of sound card.On the preferences set line in and mp3 recording.

cda format

I burned a cd and it is in track 1 cda format. Is there a place where I can get the track title infor on the internet. I can't seem to identify one of the songs. And why is it recording in this cda format?
