Does Waves plug-ins work with Cubase VST

Fellow audio heads,
I just built a new DAW : P3-933, 512 sdram, ATA100 hd's,Win2000, Delta 44 soundcard.
Unfortunatly I've discovered that my Delta soundcard requires WDM drivers in order to work with Win 2000 and none of my recording programs (Cool Edit, Cakewalk 9, SAW, n Track)work with WDM.So now I have to buy a new program and I'm told the only ones that support WDM are Sonar, Cubase 5, and Nuendo.
As far as Cubase, I'm not sure about the whole VST thing. Will my Waves plug-ins work with VST? Sonar looks good, but Cubase is a heavywieght contender and if my expensive plug-ins work with VST, I may go that route.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Cubase can use both DirectX and VST plugins so just about anything you have will work. From what I hear Windows 2000 OS is oriented towards business applications. If I was you I would consider switching to Windows 98 or even ME. If you read this sight much you will notice there are other people having problems with Windows 2000 and audio apps.

: Go with Cubase. It's easier than Pro Tools and just as professional. Oh yeah, ditch Windows 2000 and go for 98 or 95. Don't even mess with SE. Yes, waves will work cause I'm running the same set up as you are. But , if we were smart, although I hate to admit it, we'd scrap the pc and go for a Mac.

How to download and save streaming media (*.asx, *.asf)

could you help me? I would like to download and save some streaming files (*.asx, *.asf). Do you know how to make it? I have a program called streaming VCR, but it should work only with Real streaming files.

Do you just want to apply an effect to a voice recording? I'd think an audio editor would do the job.

It is a freeware white noise generator that masks all types of noise, including voices.

Don't waste your time or money on virtual personality, it is not that good, sounds like you took a hit of helium when you try to change from male to female. I am not impressed.

Fruity loops

you could use Native Instruments Battery to read them, then use that as a VST instrument.

Hey Guys, I finally saved some bread, and I've got this great pc/40 gigs/all that/a new Sony receiver/Polk audio surround speakers-6 and the new Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1....phew!.............
Anyway can't make sense out of how to connect Cable TV...Guitar...or computer for that matter......I think Ineed to find a good on.line glossary of all these new and old fangled terms so as I can read the manual............duh?

the yamaha djx IIB. I have midi software on my
computer, and I can play the midi files into my djx and
hear them coming out of the djx speakers. But I cannot
save the patterns into my memory dump on the djx.

I posted a while back asking for feedback on how people have found using Rocket Network as a production tool (I personally have found it extremely useful). Some replied saying they couldn't see the point of it.

Well, I yesterday found an excellent example of how it can be used in conjunction with Logic Audio on the Apple Web Site. Apparently Sheryl Crow utilised it.

How about Beatslicer? I'm not entirely sure exactly how it works, but im under the impression that it could do what RedBud wants it to.

Cool Edit Pro conflict with Win2K?

I just built a system based on Win2000 and a M-audio Delta 44 sound card. This combination requires WDM drivers which I came to find out doesn't work with my Cool Edit(which is my favorite program) So now I'm told I have to get a WDM compatable program, of which theres only two or three (Sonar, Cubase 5, and something else.)
Based on my experience, I would say check the audio driver situation. Win2000 is the best OS for audio, case closed. Its far more stable and powerful, yet many software and hardware manufacturers are slow to develop support for it.
E-mail your soundcards maker and see if they have MME drivers for WIN2000 or WDM drivers. Cool Edit doesn't work (or at least not well) with the WDM drivers.

Win2k was NOT just designed for business applications. It was extrapolated from NT to provide the more average computer user with a much more stable environment--as opposed to the mysterious lock-ups in Win95, and the Bizzare fault crashes in Win98.
Win2K is by far the best OS for DA BECAUSE IT IS ROCK-SOLID STABLE.

I thought Midigraphy would be perfect but I've tried and tried to download it with no success.
I little bird keeps comming up saying "error file not found. Any advice for me? Is the site working?
