Try to locate software by the name of EASYMP3.EXE, this is a very simple program but it does a great jog at converting MP3 files to Wave files.

Winamp can do it by choosing prefrences and then out options then select diskwritter then choose a directory and then ok it all and play your song
but remember to change it back to direct sound otherwise you'll keep make BIG wav files

After you've recorded it, you can use Winamp (Nero Media Player is THE BEST 21 BAND GRAPHIC EQ!!!!!)

The most common setup is to plug you turntable into an amplifier (standard Hi-Fi eg JVC, Pioneer, Denon, whatever.

Plug the line-out from your sound card into the tape input on the amp, and the tape-out from the amp to the line-in on the sound card.

record using a good wave editor such as goldwave, or cool edit pro set your level as close to 0Db as you can by trying small snippets of recording.

If still not loud enough select effects or transform and increase the amplitude, on cooledit you can simply press the calculate key in the amplitude window and it will work out the levels for you.

Use a pre-amp.
I use a Terratec. It plugs into the joystick port for power and the line in of your soundcard.
cost me $179 aussie dollars.

A: I use Goldwave to record the wavs from my lps. It lets you set the recording level and also will let you clean up (declick and noise filter) the files.

After you write the WAV file(s), queue them up in WinAmp, adjust the preamp (and the equalizer too if you like), then click options > preferences > output > NullSoft Disc Writer (click on configure button to set WAV output file/folder)... When you press play, you won't hear anything, but you can see the timer clicking away as the WAV files write. Good luck!

I'm not sure if this will work but you could try double click your volume control in the system tray then select options then properties then Recording make sure there is a tick by mixer then press ok and try turning that volume up.

If you're using a turntable and taking the output from the phono cartridge directly into the sound card, then THAT could be your problem. You need to go threough a preamplifier before plugging into the Line-In port of the soundcard.

There are other methods of downloading such as coming out of the "headset" plug of the phonograph but I haven't tried that method. You don't need a preamp for that hookup - you can go directly to the Line-In port of the soundcard.

Well I didn`t find any mixer. There is only a tick by line in, which is somehow conected with that auto level. So when I move one the other one moves also.

Are you converting LP tracks straight to MP3? The way that I do it is I record them to a high quality wav file, edit the empty space out from the start and finish and pump up the amplitude (gain) of the wave file before converting it. This was you are guaranteed an MP3 file with a high quality and good volume response.

Also, if taking music from LPs, you may want to consider a de-noise tool such as groove mechanic to remove and of the clicks, scratches and turntable hum, as well as any noise that may come through during the recording process.

I`m using LPrecorder, LPripper and to convert it Blade.enc. But I still don`t know how to pump the amplitude of my waw file. I don`t know how to do it in LPripper or is it somewhere else? thanks zulu

Get yourself Adaptec EZ cd Creator (latest version if possible) choose audio cd, drag your mp3 tracks into the layout window, choose "burn cd" when done. Window will pop up, choose "close session and leave cd open in case you want to add more tracks, cd wont play though, until you close the cd. (can be done later)For the burn speed, it depends on your system , but i find 2x 300kb/sec is ok for reliability. mail me if you need more help.

Can someone me where on earth to get Adaptec EZ. I also want to find out if it is possible to 'put' MP3s onto CD. I suppose its a stupid question, but you need a CD-Rewriter, right?

you burn the mp3's like a data file. do not burn it as a music/wav file. should be no problem

does adat sync to cubase using a korg 1212

what do i need to do to sync my adat to cubase? i have the korg 1212 card but it has no control over the adat. In the manual it says you cant do it but everyone i ask says you can? im very confused indeed help please someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
