I believe guitar plugs are mono, but am not sure about your particular model of pedal. Go to radio shack. I believe they have the part you are looking for.

Hey,
Okay, lol actually I wanted to plug my guitar into my computer about 3 days ago. But I already knew how. Okay, the quickest and cheapest way would be to go to Radioshack and buy a adapter. You will need a 1/8 inch plug convert to a 1/16 inch plug. If you can't find it ask a guy at the front desk. They know their stuff. Then plug your guitar choard that goes from your pedal to a amp or mixer and plug it into the 1/8 inch side of the plug then plug the other side into the Mic Input on the back of your computer in your sound card. Then hook up the rest of the pedal to your guitar like normal. Make sure Mic Volume isn't muted and is up and it should work.

Also if you want to record, which I'd guess you do. Use your recorder that came with your sounds card/computer. If you didn't get one you need to than Microsoft. Go to Start>>Programs>>Accesories>>Entertainment>>Sound Recorder and you can record with that program. If it doesn't work click Edit>>Audio Properties and under the Recording tab change it to whatever your Mic input plug is (normally your sound card)

RadioShack has everything you could ever need and more. Go in and ask for a 1/4 inch-to-1/8 inch adapter cable. While you're there, look around...chances are you'll find audio supplies you've never known existed, or have been paying double for at the guitar shop.

I cant help you regarding editing, however for cdg karaoke files to download and easily convert to a bin file, which you can then write to disk, come to our site, we also have a KARAOKE COMPETITION, its fun, im sure youd enjoy it :-)

Remove Music

yo yo, i don't know when this was asked but [as a d-j] i recomend you look up karaoke software "it works" plus use shift-8 "that makes a * " in between the words you look up like *removes*vocals* reason why * represents anything
so comp will find the fraze plus anything in between>>>>>>>>> good luck and peace

Fruity Loops help needed!

I'm having problems using virtual synths with fruity loops, i am using version 3.0. Whenever i load the fruity wrapper
i cannot set a plugin to it, i think it is something to do with the files having the extension .dll. whenever i try to open a plugin,
no files are shown even tho i know the directory is full of plugins. help!

I've been planning to purchase Finale for my MAC G-4, but after trying the demo, it does seem difficult to learn. I've heard of other programs like Encore, but haven't been able to find their website or a demo to download. I'm mostly doing choral scores and lead sheets. Is Finale worth the steep learning curve? Anyone have experience with other programs that can make a recommendation? Thanks.

.ram, .mov, .avi, .mpg, etc are containers. They hold whatever you put in them. Your question is like asking if a can of Coke is smaller than a bottle... the can and bottle can be any size you want, and if you want to move the stuff in the can to the bottle, you need a bottle at least the same size, unless you throw away a bunch of stuff in the process (recompression), which will water down your Coke proportionately up until it tastes as bad as Pepsi.

I'm after a simple bit(s) of software that I can use to record and edit WAV files off CD/vinyl/tape etc. On my old PC I had something called Wave SE (Turtle Beach?) that was installed when I got the PC but I can't find any information about it. The only editing facilities I need are fade in/fade out of the WAV so that I can record minute previews without nasty cutoffs. Any suggestions, preferably freeware(!)

Fruityloops vs Tuareg vs anything else dats good

What's the main differences between fruityloops 3 and tuareg?

Does fruityloops make full songs or just loops?

Sorry I ain't a musician nor a sound expert so I haven't read a million things about making music on a computer.

I just want something that will help me to make loops and tunes and then combine those into full songs.

it seems Tuareg can do that, and it's a bit easier to learn, but their really aren't enough instrument samples to work with on the freeware version.

And I ain't too sure the full version has a lot too.

I don't know.. I'm not an expert i am a complete beginner.

I want something that is simple, easy flexible and has a huge range of instruments to make some loops and then use those lops in combination with others to make a complete song.

If their is any program out there that can do all of this without me having to learn a billion friggn acronyms(i'm in programming and cgi.. and i've just had enough of all the friggen acronyms.. i don't want ANY MORE!!!. hehe) then i'll buy it.. I DON'T CARE!!..

I just want something with functionality that i don't have to devote my life to. As this is just to make music for fun and for a demo reel

so any thoughts?

Basically, you need Tuareg and a multitrack program.
Well, you already know about Fruity Loops...
I suggest you try DDCLip.

If multitracking is too much, you could always just cut and paste
and crossfade paste using SoundForge XP. it's a good swiss army knife.

FruityLoops is simply the best compared with other progs. Nothing more to say.
