File conversion of Atari ST *.SNG to *.MID

I used to have an Atari ST computer with Edit Track, it saved in the format *.SNG which is not supported on the PC. Does anyone know of a utility or shareware program that will load an Atari ST SNG file and save it as a standard MID file?

Cubase & multiple cards : Please Help!

So, can I set up Cubase to multirecord from the inputs of 2 different souncards? By that I mean plugging a mic in to each soundcard and then recording each input onto a seperate file. I know I can split inputs, and I know how, but can I use two soundcards simultaneously? If so, how do I set it up??

If I'm making sense, and you can help, it'd be much appreciated.

.WMA to .WAV...How is it done?

I have got Audio Converter (do a search for it with Google.com), problem is we need to find something to unprotect the WMA file. Unfuck.exe is supposed to do it (do a search again), but it says it needs a codec for WMA. Try it yourself in case I am doing it wrong.

Just a guess. I have used at least 8 simultaneous
audio tracks on my 750 Athlon, 256MB with no notice of a problem.
I would say you should be able to get at least 12
and maybe even more.

Just convert your MP3's to WAV's. The MP3 free player WINAMP, just to name one, does this. You can find it at www.mp3.com

hope you can help. i have clef studio midi mapper and wave editor installed originally with an aztech sound card no installation disc supplied withe package .the sound card shit itself and i had soundblaster live value installed now i can't get the wave editor to convert midi to wave although both work seperately . any help would greatly be appreciated .dave

I can't import wav files into Cakewalk

I can't import wav. files into Cakewalk. It's an old software version I got with Soundblaster Live Platinum. When I try to import, it just says "The audio file is full". Also for some reason, it seems to save the actual audio file separate from the visual file I see on the Cakewalk screen; and they're all jumbled up with no coherent references to the songs I recorded; they're saved in some file called wavedata. When I try to move them to possibly free up some room so I can import wavs I can't play the songs I recorded.

Finally, sometimes when I do record, the computer suddenly stops or stalls--and I have 64 mb ram. Is that not enough?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help answer these questions!

I've tried with anvil-studio, but it tells me that I must pay for the multi-audio 1/8 accesori. But I am looking for a FREE program to do that. Please, help me. thanks!

If you want to play mp3's in a cd player other than the one on your computer you will have to convert the mp3 file to a cda file. Car cd players or home cd players can't read mp3's.
(most of them can't) To do this goto Musicmatch.com and download musicmatchjukebox.The free version will do. Install the software and when you run the program you should see a button that says CDR.Click on that and you should be able to figure the rest out.

I'm looking for a Very Simple analog software synth for Mac, subtractive, like the old "Moog", maybe 1 or 2 VCO's, VCF, VCA, easy graphic way to "patch". Mostly to be used as an educational tool. Recording problems

A few days ago my microphone and recorder worked like a champ. I can't recall what I did-- but now the recording volume cannot be set (as if the device is not fully insalled) and I get terrible static. Can anyone here help? I run win98, with 5.5 IE and have an opl-sax sound card.

Have just checked out Rocket Network which allows you to use Logic or Cubase to collaborate in real time with anyone in the world - they even have a free version of Logic you can use to check it out... I have used it with students at my school and they have been rapt with it.

I have a few audio programs on my P.C. and on most of them at sometime or another I get glitchy sound,kind of like a bad connection or something,but it's not.I mean i've tried different speakers,haedphones,reinstalling the software,you name it.It especially gives me trouble in the Sureal GM Syntheseis Sampler Software program,when I play a preprogramed song or when I try to play notes of any kind,staticy,I will also get it in the BPM Studio Pro,a DJ style soung mixing program(usually when I try to have two songs at a time playing,or playing a sample that I just made.I have a 500Mhz celleron 2,160 MB of RAM,with a intergrated sound card,Crystal WDM audio codec.CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET A CLEAR SOUND OR A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.Any kind of explination.

This is often due to a conflict between video and audio processing demands. Try this: Right-click on a blank part of your Windows desktop. Click on 'Properties.' Click on the 'settings' tab. Click on the 'advanced' button on the lower right. Click on the 'performance' tab. Click and drag the 'Graphics Hardware acceleration' control a notch or two toward the left. Click OK. You may have to restart your computer. Then try your music again. Best of luck.

you probably need to get a better sound card!i'm convinced the one you have(you don't say what you have)is the culprit!most soundcards are fine for games and simple audio applications,but expect them to perform as a studio,and they quickly fart!get yourself a soundblaster live platinum for christmas and forget about dodgy audio!good luck!
