Hey Scott, this post is pretty old, but if you still haven't found any music software, try Tealmovie by Tealsoft or M.Play midi player by whatever the company is. You can find both on palmgear.com
Tealmovie by my opinion is currently the absolute BEST MOVIE AND MUSIC PLAYER AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW.

working with the modular is so easy. programing is a breeze, follow the signal follow filtering external signals is very cool. several things can be happening in the perimeters of a patch way cool.. If your using the nord or know of a good soft synth let me know

which keyboard midi/home?

can anyone help?
i am thinking of purchasing keyboard for pc music making with sequencer. have looked at evolution mk149 (£120) . i have just stumbled across a yamaha psr 630 for £250 which i have beleive is gm & xg compatible?.
would this keyboard be the best option. if i get the psr does this give me 3 sound options, i.e. sounds from the keyboard. sounds from my soundcard and sounds from xge, as oppose to none from the evolution. any help greatley appreciated.

New Sound Compression Algorythm

In almost 3 years of work I developed an audio compressing algorythm wich is way too fast in comparison with the others existing and compression is near to the mp3. What about this one???

hiss in recordings

Any suggestions as to how I can get the background hiss out of my recordings? I use Cubase and an Aardvark soundcard/break out box. I use the POD to record instruments via line input(which was recommended by the maker to help eliminate this problem), so the only thing I record not through a line input are the vocals...Help!

A mixer to run with soundforge 4.5 ?

Merging Files into an *.ra file.

I'm trying to merge my *.txt and *.rm file together to get an *.ra file. Here is my command line in the bat file:

rmmerge -f rmevents cash.txt cash.rm cash.ra

This is not working for me in RealProducer because I need realpublisher. Does anyone know how to do this with realproducer or can someone give me a copy of RealPublisher. I would be very greatfull if someone can find me Realpublisher or can do the task in RealProducer. Will trade. Very desperate :-(

Converting Real Audio to Wave for Mac

Cassette to cd conversion

I have a SB live platnium Sound Card with a HP CD burner, a good tape deck and necessary cables? Will the SB software handle conversion or so I need some other piece of software to handle the conversion? How do I do this???? Thanks

I too am interested in recording music on a laptop CDR.  (PC Format)
 
Since you made your inquiry have you had any feedback?
 
If so, perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing?
 
I wonder if recording from cassette tape and vinyl records is possible in a laptop CD Burner?
 
If so what kind of software, if any, is reqired and also how do you physically connect the tape deck or record player to the laptop; and is that connection made in stereo?
 
Also, is it possible to get a laptop with RCA audio-in plugs?
 
Appreciate any help,

I am working on the same thing (cassette to cd conversion on my laptop). I am very close to buying a USB soundcard which seems to be the only way to input analog audio. I am thinking about the Edirol UA-3 Audio Capture (AKA Roland UA-3 Audio Canvas).

Finale 2001 for sale cheap!

All are new in the box, never opened with full registration.
This is left over software from a failed music software business.

Burning CD's

I have a scsi CD-ReWriter. It is a 6x 4x 16x made by Yamaha, purchase christmas last year. It seems that no matter what I do, i never get perfect copies of files burned. No matter what i do, i always end up with bad files. An example would be that i tried to make a CD of pictures. When i was finished, i scanned through only to find that approximately 10 percent of what i burned was bad. I've tried the same thing with MP3 files, and ofcourse many songs are cursed with a screech. Now between 10 & 15 percent. I'll go back and listen to the original file and it's perfect. What am i doing wrong? I bought the CD Writer for archival purpose, but what point is it if 10 to 15 percent of my content is trash. I've used CD Creator as well as Direct CD. Can you help?

Here's a question... have you tried slowing down how fast the burning runs? I know on mine if I burn too fast, it will skip, making the cd a nice coaster instead!

The background voice is announcing 'demo mode' and
apparently is removed from the program when you buy
it. Now that there is no support, does anyone have
the KEY or a patch to remove the 'demo voice' from
the program?? The program is great except for that
annoying voice over. You might try RAWAVERECORDER.
I will play a Real Audio file and record a .WAV file
at the same time. It also has a batch mode.

minidisc to USB

I run a minidisc to the mic input of my Mac for editing, converting to mp3's, etc. On the road, I take an iBook. Trouble is, there is no mic input. Does anyone know of a company making USB to 1/8-inch adapters or USB to optical input? Thanks!

Maybe you’ve found out already, but if not, Griffin Technologies has the imic, which is exactly what you want.

pues despues de buscar un guebo, he encontrado un par de ellos (ahora no se si sin de la version que quieres), uno basico y otro avanzado en:

no es un buen sitio de bajada, a veces da not found, y no permite recuperar bajadas que se corten, pero es el unico sitio donde lo he visto, ademas los manuales son buenos.

I recently got hold of an Andrea Bocelli CD with the music in wma files and have found that it is impossible to convert the files from his recording. They must have inserted some sort of copy protection algo into the recording which would block my efforts. I have tried two conversion programs to no avail... DBpowerAMP as well as Winamp ver. 2.5 and 2.71. Only a good music hacker can get into the bowels of such work.

u can find it on this CD that i have in my hand..along with fruityloops,cool edit 2000,Logic platinum,cubase VST,cakewalk,wavelab,acid pro...and a host of other ILLEGAL copies of music software products !!!!

I think you would lose too much quality if you converted the mp3s to wave to normalize the volume and then convert them back to mp3s.
