this program is kinda slow but it does the job

There is no way to convert RM directly to MP3. The only way you can do it is to convert the real audio file to WAV. Which you can do with <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/TotalRecorder/"> Total Recorder</a>

Hi

You can use a standard video capture program if you have a video capture card. Sometimes a capture card isn't necessary. I've got a generic 8MB video card at home and have managed to capture Winamp visualizations and create basic music videos for personal use.

Drum sounds are in keyboard. Drum sounds can only come out of keyboard via audio or SCSI.

You need a to have a Stereo connectors at both ends. You can do this by getting a cable that is RCA to stereo mini jack, or stereo mini jack to stereo mini jack. You can buy them from a radio shack or stereo supply store.

: everything says to just jack your stereo into the line in, but when i do that i get sound from one speaker (i am using the kind of connector that winnows two channels down into one--which on a boombox, say, would result in stereo). pulling it out partially will get a cheat mono between both speakers, but how do i get stereo into my computer??!!?

Nuendo is pretty cool. If you have a fast processor, lot of ram and fast hard drive (10,000 rpm) then you should be ok. The automation is awesome. Its mixer is very flexible also. I just started messing around with it but I haven't figured out how to apply effects in real time yet, any ideas? Overall, is like having protools without going broke. Of course, there nothing like protools though.

It is the most long awaited music software. This is so powerful that I have told all my friends that are in the music biz to just go out and buy it. So far every one that has gone out and gotten it have not gone back to their cakewalk or whatever they are using. Come to think of it since this thing has come out; I know of two songs that are on the top ten billboard that two of my friends used this software to create the songs. We have just about stoped using our mackie mixer and some of out out board gear because of this software. Just go and buy it, it's easy to learn and use. You will not be disappointed.

As far as I know, you can't use your effects plug-ins in MIDI tracks in Cakewalk. You can only use them on the audio tracks. You can only use the Chorus and Reverb MIDI effects if your keyboard or sound modules support Chorus and Reverb. In other words, if those effects are built in. A work around is to get your keyboard parts just the way you like them, record them as audio into Cakewalk and then apply the audio effects as desired to the audo tracks (muting, of course, the old MIDI tracks. Either that, or get a small mixing board to route your keyboards through and and outboard effects box.

A CD-RWs' data can only be read if the reader has a built-in UDF Reader (which comes with your burning software if it supports CD-RW burning.) and your everyday CD Player does not have the UDF Reader in them, and the UDF Reader cannot be installed into the player. So CD Players don't have the ability to read CD-RWs.
