Another solution
Wanting to avoid uninstalling then reinstalling CD Player stumbled on a solution through Windows Help - CD player - starting.
If anyone is still having trouble with the missing mmjb.exe when trying to play CDs this is how I fixed it:
Open 'My Computer'
Click on Audio CD then up to the 'My Computer' tool bar 'View', then 'Option';
Click on 'File types;
Select Audio CD then click on Edit;
Then Edit again making sure the 'Play' in the action box is dark (if not click on 'Set Default' and it will change;
Change 'Application to perform action' to C:\WINDOWS\Cdplayer.exe
Then click 'OK'. Your CD should now automatically play when you put it in.
Hope this helps.

Hey Malc,
A couple of Q for you. My cd and sound card were working fine as recently as 2 months ago. I don't know what I did, but now it looking for dreaded MMJB.exe file. I don;t have any sound nor am I able to play any CDs.
I am hoping for a more simplistic appaorch: If I can down load MMJB.exe my trouble should go away. Like I said...I am hoping. Can you help or point me in the right direction? Thanks so much in advance.

Re: mmjb.exe
Your PC has been set to use MusicMatch Jukebox for playing CD's.
For some reason your pc is unable to locate the executable file (mmjb.exe) which starts up the Musicmatch programme.
This could be for a number of reasons - perhaps you have removed MusicMatch from your PC, moved it to a different location on your hard drive, deleted the file mmjb.exe in error, or the file has been corrupted. There could however be others.
The solution to rectifying this problem will differ depending on what has caused the problem. However one thing you can try is switching off the auto insert notification for your CD Rom. When you insert the CD your pc will no longer automatically try to play the CD using Musicmatch. You can then open any other programme on your system capable of playing CD's (such as windows media player) and play the CD from there.
Another option is to change the file associations.
(You can get more info on this from your Windows help files).
To be of more assistance I would need to know exactly what your circumstances are ie. whether MusicMatch is still installed on your pc, whether you have tried to remove it etc.
If you want more help with this email me at the given address as I don't get to visit this forum regularly.

Crystal WDM Audio Codec's driver is not present on any of my software, including the motherboard disk in which the sound card is attatched. Actually, I can't find any drivers for this card??? Any help would be appreciated...

Re: winamp.plj
You may need the PlayJ plug-in for Winamp.
It's at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/PlayJ_winamp/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/PlayJ_winamp/</a>
