to do that there are several programs but the one i use and have no problems with is CdrWin. u can get it at www.goldenhawk.com for about 30 bucks.

Reading a AEI music CD on PC

I have a cd that works at the store I work at but can not even be read by my computer, I can copy the cd but can not read the music thats on it, the company that puts the cd out is AEI Music they make mixes for buisnesses. if anyone knows the program that lets you read the music please let me know

The disc is in CD-I format. The disc can be read with ISOBuster v1.0

There are several files on the disc, one large file (534MB) is called music.
However, I haven't figured out how to turn this file into actual music yet.

you cant read these off a normal cd player for the reason of that it is not a commercial release but intended for use instore and decoded through a dongle.

Hi Mehmed , try dj 2000 you can get it at beyond.com it will cda to wav.
But you might want to check out Nero its a cd recorder software that records just about any thing without having to convert pluss it free!!
Get it at c-net downloads search Nero. Later Good luck!

use audio catalyst it ripps songs off cd into wav or mp3 mp3 uses less memory and can be burned with nero.

number but thats not enough.

Check www.windrivers.com - you can search by FCC ID.

Easiest way i've found is use Wingroove (midi player.)

You can just tell it to save the midi as a .wav and it does it. Instantly. Well, not instantly but with a click :)

There are a number of ways to go. One way is a program called Total Recorder which can record anything that's going through your sound card.

A more elegant approach is a a program that uses sound fonts to render MIDI to wave. The one I use is called Audio Compositor. You have to download a General MIDI sound font (the Audio Compositor web site has links that can lead yo to some) in addition to the software, but once you have these, it's easy to figure out and the sound quality you get, because you're using sampled instruments, is a lot better than just recording your MIDI to .wav.

Hello, Francois!

Your sound card has an AUDIO RACK that will display your MIDI PLAYER and WAVE RECORDER. Assuming that you have a full duplex card (most of them are) and that your inputs are selected correctly, you can play a MIDI file while recording it to your WAVE RECORDER. I have a Creative PCI128 and I do this all the time.

Volume Control/Options/Properties/Recording/OK/select MIDI

In Cakewalk, arm an audio track in the tracks window that has the MIDI track(s), hit record. When done, the audio track will contain the MIDI tracks in .wav. Delete the MIDI tracks and you're done.

Cakewalk n Line6 POD Studio Ware Panel

The POD studioware panel is simply a means of setting the pod's settings via MIDI, and makes no sounds at all. This is a great feature because you can record patch changes and knob changes and have the changes playback live. Of course you must first own a POD, and then have you're pod connected to the computer via MIDI, and deal with it's audio inputs and outputs independantly of the studioware panel.

advice on cleaning up vinyl recordings (with cubase?)

is there a good tutorial somewhere outlining how to use cubase with denoiser plugins etc (or some other program) to clean up and revitalize vinyl recordings??
the raw recorded sound is *crap* compared to the original and i'm struggling with getting some of that quality back.

Hi!

Here is what I suggest. If you must use cubase, than do the following. Insert audio file in cubase (File-import audio file). Make sure to chose mono file to mono track and stereo file to stereo track of cubase. Use Declicker or denoiser plug in for that track, but connect it ONLY on insert position on that track (in audio mixer), providing in this way that whole signal passes through the plug in. Than play the file and adjust plug in settings to meet your needs. When satisfied, mixdown the file using master section. In this way you will get restored file.

For this kind of needs I suggest Sound forge 4.5x and Sonic Foundry Noise reduction 2.0 Direct X plug in which consists of four denoise algorithms, and which I find to be the best of its kind.

Need player to handle diff sound volume in diff MIDI files

There are plenty of MIDI & multi type Jukeboxes etc.
But does anybody know of one which either has an automatic volume control, or where you can set a volume or attenuation attribute in the playlist?

Problem with the one I'm using is - you set a list playing, then one of the files suddenly comes out at high volume and you have to jump for the volume control.

Hi,
Are you still having trouble finding, installing and running X-Fileget? If so please write to me. I will send you the zipped or unzipped (specify) version of X-Fileget so that you can use it just as if you had just bought it and got your registration code along with it. Of course, I will not charge you for it. I had problems with that program myself for over a year. Now I have solved that problem. I had a computer crash some time ago and when I reinstalled that program it would only run for 24 days as if it was a trial version. After that no matter how many times I tried to reinstall it, the program would not run, saying that I had zero days left (on my particular computer). But, if I were to install it on another computer (with a different hard drive) it would again run - but only for another 24 days! All this is because I lost my registration code that was sent to me by email from 2B System when I first bought it and tried it initially as a trial version. As you know 2B System had gone out of business since. So I am happy to run X-Fileget now without any time limitation and am happy to share that program with anyone who genuinely paid for it and who is now feeling let down by 2B System. All the best.

X-FileGet - I have the same problem you had!
Perhaps you need StreamBox-Ripper to convert
RA-Files to MP3 and we share?
