1. What font is used by Cakewalk Pro Audio 8.0
in its Staff View for Lyrics and for File Info?
2. How can I print a score with lyrics in a
different language - e.g German or Cyrillic?
3. Whether it is necessary to make changes for

Try my software: MP3 Recorder. www.lapsaudio.com. It will also convert WAV files back to WAV after hiss removing.

i use a Yamaha DJX as instrument in Fast Tracker II V. 2.08 , but i have some problems with Midi.
The DJX works perfect in a Windows environment, but i can't get it working in FTII

this is what I do...
1) play a .trk file by itself, 2) record it and export it to a .Wav file, 3) and then edit out any slacks with a .wav editor. Not completely digital, but the best way to go without having to decipher all that insane .trk code if it can even be done.

If you want to convert mixman .trk into a .WAV file download a demo of cubasis VST (or buy the program) it has a part that lets you convert the files.

I was told that virtually everything that's come out is listed on the nemesys site. That's not a lot. I would also be interested in knowing if there's more, but a good friend told me that everyone just uses akai. What a shame to waste that incredible potential, no?

The only way to do it would be to render the MIDI
files to WAV files first and then play the WAV file
through the internal speaker, however you won't be
able to play MIDI in real-time.

These programs will play WAVs through your speaker-
<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Speaker/">Speaker for Dos</a> & <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/MSspeaker/">MSspeaker for Windows 3.1</a>

<a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/WAVmaker_for_Windows/">WAVmaker 3.0 for Win 3.1</a> will convert MIDI to WAV.

Hi There,

Try out Wingroov/SPKQQ combination for both MIDI & WAV thro PC-Speaker!!

I have another windows driver for MIDI alone that works only with PC-Speaker......

line in recording level

Anyone help? I'm trying to record some vinyl to my hard drive. I've got my turntable hooked up to the line in on my souncard and I've managed to run off a couple of LP's, but the recording line level needs to be set as low as possible. I've now moved on to a 12", and even at the lowest setting the line level is too high.
I'm presuming my turntable has a built in amp. If anything i was expecting the recording line level to be to low??
Please help!!!

i could be wrong but i belive that record players output is ceramic which is diffrent then the line out of any other component ie cassate player, cd player vcr, etc... prehaps if u run it thru a mixing board or cassette recorder before into your comp line in you can solve or reduce your problem

Suggestions on recording software for Windows 3.1?

1. What basics do I need to be able to multi-track record on Windows 3.1? What type of software? What type of cabling/ interface devices are neccessary?

2. Can I use a midi out on my old analog porta-studio 4 track in conjunction with the software you suggest? What type of additional equipment (if any) would this require?

Digital Orchestrator recordings outta time!

I got a Pentium 166 - 32MB RAM, AZT2316R FULL DUPLEX SOUND CARD, and I run Digital Orchestrator Plus AFTER closing all memory resident programs (to free memory) - BUT except the 1st track, every other track is out of time. I record them in real time, but they don't synchronize. Is it my computer or am I missing something really obvious!!?
