<<I have to agree, Roland is out to make $$$. The groove gear is all fancy toys w/ cool lights & knobs. They target the newbies who see a cool looking add... & think wow an all in one studio.
THe d-beam is a total joke & is uncontrollable. The keys aren't even velocity sensitive, so how can you create something w/ feeling. Overall Roland is living behind there name right now. They're only a handful of by products I think are good, but for the price, no. They just don't offer enough features for the price. I'm not going into detail, but when I buy new gear I want more bang for the buck. And many other companies out there are listening to musicians & making great products.
If your just starting out & want a basic piece of gear.. the electribes by Korg aren't bad ($350 -$400). The sounds are pretty good, you can create original patterns, & real time knobs are smooth & very controlable. Definatly a good choice for someone on a budget.

I need a program to drasticly reduce the size of a wav file without losing the quality of the sound. It also needs to be able to be played without having to be decompressed or without having to have a special program to play it with. I want to use these wav files as background sounds on my websites.
