Spam on the forum..

This forum has reached an all time low due to spammers and time wasters.

It constantly grieves me to see how this place is abused. I have come here for many years and I have never seen it this bad. Even companies come here to spam... Sheesh...

Yes, Rimmer, we're always trying to keep on top of the spam situation. It greatly disappoints me (on a personal level) that people abuse the relative freedom of this forum. We fight on.

If you have one enourmous file to download or several files which have to be downloaded individualy this is excellent, it will download them on a schedule based system and can resume the files best of all. It is a very simple interface and is easy to use. I would highly recomend this product.

I proved with others programas (i.e. GoZilla) but I don't like others. IDM have a simple interface, easy to use and to understand. I don't change IDM by other program. I think IDM is great!

I started using this when I still had my 56K modem. I was very impressed with the speed then, but now that I have a cable connection, it is even better! I highly recommend this for anyone who is impatient (like me) with download speeds. I have never used anything that impressed me enough to write about. That should tell you something I guess.

I like to sownload more than 10 mb and this software helps me alot no matter it's speed is too slow it don't change any speed but i like that it recover breaked downloads nothing any thing speciall in it.

Noticable changes of speed after use. Works great with regular 56k and DSL. Pause feature is extremely good. Worth every second downloading!

I have 300kbps cable connection. When i didn't have this i downloaded stuff at 25 - 30Kbps, then i downloaded it and the speeds were 35 - 65Kbps.

This is a great little program. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN SPYWARE. Sometimes it wont download everything like it should, but it still saves you alot of time. So I rate it a 7

Well, I tried this program and must say it's wery helpfull. I downloads tons of mp3 and etc. files daily and offen from very slow sites. I used Net Vampire for more then two years when I found this program. IDMan downloaded the same file almost 2 times faster! It's incredible! And it's quate stable to under my Windows XP. I even think about buing it after trial period. I recommend this product to all who looking for fast and stable download manager.

It does depend a lot on your connection but IDM is very easy to use other download managers pick up resume too late and this one doesn't take much longer!! I would rate it Excellent easy to use and it's not a headache like others are!:)

i have windows me and i recently installed a cd rewriter its been working fine up until last week when i doenloaded a cd burning program but when i deleted this program i deleted the aspi manager with it. i have looked all over the net to try to get one back but ive downloaded about ten but none of them work, i even went to the adaptec site read all the faqs and went through a step by step guide to reinstall the original aspi manager but after inserting the windows me disk it said that no cab files could be found. does anyone know what i can do?

I saw instant results in my downloads, it runs at least 4x faster, but don't try to run anything else on an internet connection off of dial-up as IDM takes up the entire connection

It should be easier to set up time-controlled downloads (without going through the options). It should be easier to make a queue of downloads and then download that queue.

Before I got this program, I would never download a file bigger than 10mb because the connection could drop. Now, I download 170mb files with my 26.4kbs connection! (overnight of course) I also use this at my church where they have DSL. I schedual the downloads to start at 12:00am when no one is there. I love this program.

It's the difference (on a say 40ms) server from 19 minutes to 3! Pause, resume, many other options! Even shutdown/disconnect after download for 56k users! It will even look for better sources for the file!

harddisc-recording low volume

can anybody tell me how why my recordings with Roland VS880-EX do have, compared with regular sold CDs, such a low volume? How will I have to use the MASTER-regulator in the MIXDOWN-Function?

You can route the main outputs through the effects engine. There is a stereo compressor limiter that is reasonable at levelling a mix out.

This however wont necessarily make a mix 'louder'. There is a fad at the moment for heavily limited commercial CD's which provide great loudness at the expense of dynamic nuiances. One day, the record companies may be forced to grow out of the desire to interfere with professional mastering engineers by telling them how to master.

The 'loudness' of a track is something you decide with your ears and not a meter. Do however keep your levels high but don't exceed the 0db marker as everything over and above may represent audible digital distortion.
